In Nike Basketball’s newest campaign, Kobe Bryant steps beyond his role as a basketball superstar and into the role of a motivational speaker. Dubbed “The KobeSystem: Success for the Successful,” Bryant’s winning philosophy is grounded in his proven ability to adapt to succeed as a player and also reflected in his revolutionary new signature shoe, the Nike Kobe VII System Supreme.

The cast features the following leaders from stage to screen, field to court, outer space to real-life motivational speaker:

In addition to the TV spot, the KobeSystem personalities will be featured in a variety of digital content films including testimonials proclaiming their affinity for “the system” and individual films showing where they fit on Kobe’s success pyramid.

Shot in Hollywood, the Nike KobeSystem “Success for the Successful” commercial spot was directed by Jody Hill. Known for his role as co-creator and executive producer of the series Eastbound & Down, Hill has directed, produced and acted in a variety of features films. The campaign was produced by Wieden + Kennedy of Portland, Ore.

This month’s Nike SB quickstrikes are surfacing as illustrated here by the release of the Paul Rodriguez Premium Mid V. This lightweight SB sneaker made up primarily of a black felt material on the exterior and a nylon inside, which enables the shoe to breathe a bit in the event of conditions heating up. These samples have been floating around and skateboarder Paul Rodriguez has recently revealed a pair of this rumored hyperstrike on Twitter. This runner made up P-Rod 5 upper on a of a Lunarlon sole, comes in a black and orange colorway with a gray Swoosh, looks like a sturdy running shoe let alone a great fusion of two models.

The Paul Rodriguez 5 from Nike SB follows closely behind the Eric Koston 1 in using Lunarlon cushioning in a skate shoe. After a first look at the P-Rod 5 lows in January, we can now give you a first look at the mid-top version that will release for Spring 2012 in sand, red and midnight blue as shown at Agenda HB. In our gallery you’ll also find a look at Paul Rodriguez 5 in grey for Spring 2012.

Officially launched today in Huntington Beach, CA, the fifth iteration of Nike SB’s Paul Rodriguez signature shoe features Lunarlon cushioning, TPU reinforced suede and Diamond Flex tread for a high-performance skateboard sneaker. The debut colorways, which are now available at finer SB retailers, include Sail, Black and Varsity Blue.

Also new is a signature P. Rod Dri-Fit denim with stretch properties for ease of movement and triple needle stitching for abrasion resistance. See these and the latest P. Rod apparel releases in our gallery.

Incase and Paul Rodriguez continue to work together on a collaborative collection, which brings together the design and product line of Incase with the daily needs of a skateboarding.

The new Fall 2011 Collection by the two includes laptop sleeves, a duffle bag and the skate pack in two versions. The new Fall 2011 colors are grey and black, giving the collection a more serious and less playful look than in previous seasons. You can purchase the new collection now here.

After having shown you the Primitive Summer 2011 Video, we can preview today the complete collection. The skateshop turned brand, owned by Paul Rodriguez, has produced a solid line-up of graphic t-shirts for the season. Next to some logo based styles and new graphics, a small capsule of tees featuring Desiree Elyda shirts are also part of the collection, as well as three caps.
