The new Eau de Parfum M/Mink is a collaborative effort between Stockholm based fragrance house Byredo and creative partnership M/M (Paris).We have been a big fan of Byredo for a while already an this is certainly an interesting creative mash up.

“In 2009, reversing the usual idea of receiving a brief from a client, they invited Ben Gorham of byredo to their studio in Paris and presented him a creative direction and concept — a block of solid ink purchased in Asia, a photograph showing a Japanese master practising his daily calligraphy, and a large utopian formula that Mathias drew on Korean traditional paper. Together with renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette of robertet, Ben translated these three images into a fragrance. The result is a truly unusual and unique composition. Opening with adoxal, the heart consists of incense with a dry-down of patchouli leaf, clover honey and amber. m/mink eau de parfum is simple in structure but extreme in character.

To represent and promote m/mink, m/m (paris) are reusing existing images of photographers inez van lamsweerde & vinoodh matadin to develop a series of new artworks. They have together collabored intensively over the last 15 years on fashion campaigns for brands such as Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Givenchy or Yohji Yamamoto…, as well as working in close collaboration with musician Björk.”

visvim slowly enlarges their offering of cosmetics and scented products for Fall/Winter 2010. After we have seen until now mostly candles and room scents, the line-up moves into body products, including shampoo, body lotion, conditioner, shower gel and perfume. As usual the packaging looks beautiful and is very minimalist. Look out for a release at visvim stores and retailers soon.

Yesterday we showed you the film by the Brothers Quay for the launch of the new Wonderwood fragrance by Comme des Garcons. Today you get a first look at the bottle design of the new perfume to launch in the coming weeks. There will be a 50ml and a 100ml bottle at launch.

After the success of their first perfume collaboration on Scent One: Hinoki, Comme des Garcons links up once again with UK magazine Monocle. Scent Two: Laurel has been released this past week and premium retailers in time for the Holidays. We did not have the chance yet to test it out, but we are sure its another hit.

In celebration Dover Street Market’s 5th Anniversary, COMME des GARÇONS has created a new perfume with packaging design by CdG founder and lead creative, Rei Kawakubo. According to Number 3, “it’s an unusually modern woody fragrance.” They believe it’s going to be a classic. Try it for yourself beginning October 2009 at DSM London and other select COMME des GARÇONS dealers.

Comme Des Garcons has come out with a special X’Mas edition of their perfume. The bottle and packaging come in a dark marble colorway. Reinforce just got it in.

After giving you a look recently at the upcoming H&M x Comme Des Garcons collection, we show you today a couple of the accessories that will be released as part of the collaboration. To no surprise they are presenting a perfume and a zip wallet, both staple items in the regular Comme Des Garcons range. Matching many pieces in the line, the wallet features a polka dot all-over pattern. The scent comes with the collaborative branding and minimal packaging. Hopefully it has been produced by Comme Des Garcons – in that case hopes for a good product can be high.

Coming for the holiday season is a new addition to the Comme des Garcons Parfum world – the limited edition CdG#2 "Silver Words".
"Words contain meanings like a bottle holds a perfume. Comme des Garcons presents their latest set of fragrances – the Energy C Series.
The new Comme des Garçons Series is called Energy C Series 8 with three compositions titled Lemon, Lime, Orange. The tag line is “Wake up, feel positive, be positive.” Each scent is described as a “perfume vitamin rush based on citrus fruit”.
They are now available for a moderate 29 Euros in the Colette online store. More images after the jump.
