PF Flyers has re-introduces four different styles that feature red, white and blue for the Fourth of July holiday. All of the styles (Sumfun, Cousy, Center Hi and Center Lo) are either classics or archival and are available now at PF Flyers in America’s patriotic colors.

Originally released in 1953, the PF Flyers Center Lo sneaker is a versatile, vulcanized mid-century basketball shoe, updated in bright canvas colors for Summer 2011. It features their signature vertically ribbed toe guard, diamond-patterned outsole, and posture foundation insole. These new canvas color ups are now available at select doors.

PF Flyers has partnered with Freemans Sporting Club (FSC) to reissue two archival styles from its 1949 catalog, the Taghkanic and Mohonk. The Taghkanic is a revised saddle shoe, appropriately renamed after the classic New York lakefront destination for fresh air and recreation, available in Blue, Grey and Natural. The Mohonk is a streamlined version of the canvas rec boot and was named for FSC’s picturesque natural escape in the Appalachian Mountains of New York.

The sneakers are now available from FSC, Unionmade and Conveyor, going for 70 USD and 80 USD respectively. All colorways can be seen here.

Lots of news coming from New York retailer Freemans Sporting Club. Not only will they be opening up a West Coast outlet in the San Francisco Mission District, we also get a first look at their upcoming footwear collaboration with PF Flyers. The canvas sneaker line features reissues of two vintage 1949 styles from the PF Flyers archive, including a saddle shoe and a low boot. Both sneakers are coming in three colorways and still be available May 2011 from both Freemans Sporting Club stores and about 10 other retailers across the US. Via WWD.

PF Flyers gets together with Japanese retailer Beams Plus to collaborate on a canvas high top sneaker. The sneaker comes in off-white/black and in black/black, featuring no color on the upper, except for the heel logo placement. We really like the off-white colorway with its contrasting toe cap and mid-sole. The sneakers will be released at Beams Plus this week.

American sneaker brand PF Flyers and Parisian apparel brand Bleu De Paname worked together on a limited production series of the 1943 PF Flyers Rambler hi and lo top. Uppers crafted in Bleu de Paname’s French-milled moleskin and denim characterize this unique PF style. The Bleu Rambler Series will be available in November 2010 in top boutiques worldwide, including Dover Street Market (London), colette (Paris), Commes Des Garcon (Tokyo), etc.

The classic PF Flyers Center Hi evolves into the The PF Flyers Double Tongue for Fall 2010. The high top sneaker features twin leather tongues that are pierced for laces and flip to reveal color.
