PF Flyers has been frequently in the news recently, mostly for bringing back their all-time classics. Today we show you the re-issue of the PF Flyers Windjammer.

Originally released in 1968, the “Windjammer” is an authentic reissue style from the PF Flyers archive. Released in original colors and materials, each is realized with all nuances of the respective time. This seaboard-inspired style meets the modern era as a clean-lined and timeless canvas deck silhouette.

For Spring 2009, saturated spring tones gain depth and subtlety in luminescent leather finishes and iridescent metal weaves. Bridging classic sport, modern design and refined casual fashion, PF continues to release fine sneakers.

This “court couture” style is a favorite in a 70-year PF Flyers tradition of creating styles that merge fashion with a classic sports shoe. The clean-lined, low-top court silhouette of the Albin unites the shape of a dress shoe and the wearability and comfort of a sneaker. For Spring 2009 the Albin comes in some new premium Italian leathers, as well classic canvas looks.

PF Flyers continues to demonstrate pride for the brand’s hometown of Boston with the renewed association with famed former Boston Celtic, Bob Cousy, and the reissue of the iconic Bob Cousy All-American low top from 1956.

Originally re-released in Spring 08, this season the Bob Cousy All-American colorways have been updated for Spring 09 and are now available in 6 different colorways: Ivory, White, Red, Charcoal, Light Grey, Black/Metallic Green, and Dark Purple.

It seems like every other sneaker brand is adding the velcro strap into their line. This week at Bread & Butter we came across some new models from PF Flyers that will be coming out this coming Fall 2009. Both low top and high top sneakers will be coming with a velcro strap and some stronger color accents.

PF Flyers re-releases their rare classic from 1956, the Bob Cousy. It comes as an exact re-construction from the original, also featuring the Gullwing Closure. In this first drop it comes in 4 color ways – black, white, green and navy blue. Look out for these at stores in the coming weeks.

Here an interesting project by PF Flyers. The brand has repartnered with Hall Of Fame basketball player Bob Cousy, to reissue his 1957 low top sneaker. Cousy was famed for wearing PF Flyers throughout his entire career and thus PF Flyers thought that at almost 50 years since the original issue it was time to bring them back! The canvas sneaker comes in all green and will be available soon!

Here we present you the new footwear collection by PF Flyers for this years Fall/Winter season. While a few months ago, the craziest looking sneaker would be the winner, these days we have come back to more subtle styles and colors and suddenly PF Flyers seems to fit in much better.
In their new collection they present a nice range of styles and we are mostly pleasantly surprised by their selection of hi-top sneakers. Most shoes in the collection come in nice simple colors (black, brown, khaki) and come in premium leathers. Also their way of applying aged leather came out really nice in the new collection. If you are looking for something simple, that goes with everything then you might want to have a look at the new PF Flyers collection. Rather than trying to be trendy and  cool, they concentrate on their core values of being simple and solid.

PF Flyers got together with Canvas Boutique to creat a new silhouette, the Albin. Finished in Italian crinkled and patent leathers with a subtle art nouveau lining and produced in limited numbers, these Albins will be available exclusively at Canvas Boutique.
