Over the last couple of months we have kept you posted on the renovations at famous Parisian concept store Colette. The store worked together with Wonderwall on the redesign, the same architects that are also responsible for all Bape stores worldwide, some Uniqlo stores, the Original Fake store in Tokyo and many other incredible retail outlets around the globe. Thus we had of course big expectations.
In the matter of less than two months they changed the entire store and created something amazing. The sneaker section moved to the ground floor and has become a massive glass sneaker wall. Also they introduce the Tee Box, a large box made out of glass and metal, housing all t-shirts of the store. The Tee Box is also located at the ground floor. Furthermore Colette introduces shop in shops of Original Fake, Bape, Alife as well as BBC/Ice Cream. The Original Fake and Bape sections you can see on the image here above.
Overall the store has been cleaned up and appears much more structured than before. The water bar also got renovated and now has more of a restaurant feel to it than before. Accessories are being presented in free hanging boxes, that are also equipped with light. The magazine section grew in size and is also more organized, just like the Beauty section of the store. On the first floor you still find the gallery, as well as the haute couture brands.
What can we say? Mind-blowing. How can one store do this much? The new design is clean, sleek and displays much better and more efficiently all categories of product that Colette represents and sells. Also it seems like the new interior is much more efficient, allowing Colette to display overall much more product. The amount of sneakers and t-shirts now present, would have been almost un-imaginable in the old interior.
Bottom line, get on a plane, or hop on the train, and check out the new and renovated Colette store live, pictures can only say so much.

For those of you that are not yet familiar with Lumas, we will give you a quick rundown. The German company runs several galleries, most of which are in Germany, but in the mean time they also opened in Zürich and in New York. They work with artists and offer editions of their work for a far lower price than the original works, but still limited. They have had tremendous success with the concept over the years and in the mean time even their editions go up in value over time.
One of the latest editions to their catalogue is "Kanye" by Nick & Chloé. The Parisian duo took the picture on a photo shoot session in Los Angeles. 
Lumas offers it now in a limited edition of 100 prints, for 350 Euros.

We reported extensively about the new Hoods Store in Hong Kong, serving as the flagship store for Neighborhood and WTAPS. Here are now some shots of the interior of the store. Hand made signs have been created by the artist NUTS and the exterior of the store was inspired by a bomber plane.

10 Deep recently transformed their brooklyn showroom into a massive backdrop for their latest photoshoot. The Spring 2008 lookbook drops this monday March 16th with product hitting stores the same week. Stay for a full look at the upcoming styles.

The Backdoor Book, that we reported about earlier, featuring pictures taken at the Backdoor of the aNYthing store in NYC’s Lower Eastside, has now been released.

Those of you that have read our site a little longer, will know the Back Door very well. It was a door in the back of the aNYthing store in NYC. A-Ron used it to document all the people that came through. The pictures then went up on his Glob (blog). Now he released with his new Off Bowery Productions company a book, filled with Back Door pictures. Definitely a nice book to own, bringing back good memories of the past couple of years! A couple of days ago we showed you some new t-shirts by Burton, with an animal photoprint on them. We found them quite unusual, and besides the fact that they were a little kitsch and not really something we would expect from Burton, we took a closer look to find out what this series was all about. The series of t-shirts comes from We are un..inc. by Burton.
The “We are un..inc.” series is led by the Burton Pros Gig! Rüf, Romain de Marchi, JP Solberg and Danny Davis. Each t-shirt also has a matching board. Riding a board with such an animal picture on it, is actually quite funny.

Our man Mel D. Cole passed by the LRG Fall 2007 photoshoot and took tons of pictures of the people that were present. Make sure to check out the pictures as you will see many familiar faces in there.
