We first spotted these new Itazura Trekking Boots in the latest issue of Japan’s Smart Magazine, not knowing at first which brand they were from. Now the boots have arrived at Fooca.

The boots come in three plaid variations, feature a Vibram sole and a quilted pattern on the heel. What we like on these, is that they actually used plaid on the upper and did not work with a plaid print, which we have seen from some other brands this season.

Now that A Bathing Ape is operating a NYC and LA store, they came out with two winter plaid New Era Caps, featuring the local favorite MLB team on the caps. The caps are now available at Cliff Edge.

Vans Japan has just released the Summer ‘08 Plaid Pack. It consists of Chukkas, Eras and Slip-Ons, each coming in a navy/red and a navy/green plaid upper with white sole.

An interesting new jacket has been released by Visvim as part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The Nomad Folk Gore-Tex jacket comes in overall 4 different check patterns, a look which is quite unusual for a technical jacket, but once again it turns out, that it works actually. Via Reinforce.

Sometimes one tends to forget that there are also other caps than New Eras and fitteds out there, in fact just as many people that love the fitted cap, actually hate it and would never touch one.
One brand that has never let down the people that wanted something else than a New Era 5950, was and still is Supreme. As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection they once again present a large line-up of Camp Caps. We present you here the Oversize Check Series, Glan Plaid Series and the Plaid Series. Each series consists of several caps.

Huf made some more plaid New Era caps, this time they come a bit more colorful and will get you set for the Spring/Summer season. These will be available at Huf tomorrow, 15th of March. Via Keith Hufnagel.

Vans has an incredible year behind itself. Their regular lines, as well as their collaborations and especially the Syndicate collection, has been very well received. With people increasingly being fed up by the multicolor faux fur patent leather reflective 3M releases by the big players in the market, Vans has carved out a solid market segment for itself, delivering solid classics in meaningful new design.
That also does not seem to stop any time soon. 2007 was certainly also the plaid year. We cannot remember a single brand out there that did not go into plaid, either in the form of shirts or sneakers. Vans takes it one step further and brings their classics together with Pendleton Woolen Mills, one of the most traditional and respected wool companies in the US. The outcome is the Pendleton by Vans pack under the Syndicate umbrella. Thanks to Crooked Tongues we can show you some first pictures of this exciting release.
The pack consists of a Sk8-Hi, Half Cab and some Old Skools. Each sneaker has an upper mixed of black premium suede and Pendleton plaid. Our favorite is for sure the Half Cab in this release. The pack will be released in February 2008!

Just like pretty much every month, Nike SB does not only release a bunch of sneakers, they also bring out a small collection of gear to go along with the sneakers. This month they will release a small winter collection, which consists of a crewneck sweater, hoodie and two fitted caps. The entire collection comes in beige/brown colors with plaid accents. The elbow patches and inner linings are a nice touch.
Expect this capsule collection to appear in stores this week. After the jump detailed pictures of all pieces.

When one of the best brands in terms of design, quality and attention to detail and one of the best boutiques/brands get together to collaborate, you can assume that something good is coming out of it and that is clearly the case with this collaboration of Maiden Noir and Huf.
The two got together to work on some jackets. The outcome are some nice hooded wool jackets coming in red and navy. The inner lining of the hood is made in plaid and the rest of the jacket in satin. Other nice details include tonal embroideries and subtle tags. The jackets are instant classics, something that you can wear season after season.
It will be released this coming Saturday, December 15th, at Huf and will also become available at Goods, DQM, Kicks/Hi and St. Alfred. Check out some more detailed pictured after the jump.

Made in the USA to honor three of the New Balance domestic factories, the Factory Plaid Collection highlights three variations of plaid in celebration of the traditional plaids worn throughout New England in New Balance’s latest footwear collection.
Each of the three Factory Plaid styles uses a different color plaid and features a factory named emblazoned on the lateral tip and screen printed on the insert. The Navy/Black colorway features ‘Lawrence”, the Gold/Black colorway features “Norridgewock” and the Purple/Black colorway features “Skowhegan”. As a compliment to the shoes, each plaid pair comes in a white box with a corresponding plaid swatch on the lid.
Factory Plaid will be available beginning on December 1, 2007 and retail for $150.00. Check out all three sneakers in detail after the jump.
