In our previous post we presented to you the Nike Trackbike Football 2010 (NTF2010) games that took place recently in Zurich, Switzerland. For the occasion the team worked with Phillippe from +41 to create a logo for the new trackbike football league and of course they also worked on some proper team gear.

The outcome is a collection consisting of the Nike Sportswear GS Polo and the Sweet Classic Low. The polos carry the NTF2010 crest on the chest and the sneakers feature special iD customization on the heels.

For this years Sneakerness event in Zürich, Nike invited the two Swiss artists and designers Grotesk and +41 to create an exclusive and unique pair of sneakers with NikeiD Bespoke. Two iconic shoes served as inspiration for the design – the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan Sky High. The result, the NikeiD Bespoke designed by +41 and Grotesk, will be on display the first time ever during the Sneakerness on May 9th 2009 in Zürich.

With tons of possibilities when creating a Nike iD Bespoke they decided to take an honest and simple design approach. This in many ways is sympathetic of the existing design elements: One example is the 3 red laces rings referring to those of the AJ3. The shoe itself is well balanced just right with a choice of colors that are very subtle. Both designers felt strongly that they wanted to design a shoe more classical, more elegant and referential to what they would really like to wear, going deep into the design detail using simplicity without using and abusing the many colors and materials that are available.

If you want to see the sneaker live, make sure to make your way out to Zürich this weekend. The event takes place on May 9th at Schiffbau. Sneakerness will serve as a platform to sell and trade sneakers, with lots of exciting things going on around the event, including exhibitions, artist appearances, Nike iD studio, and an afterparty with Bobbito Garcia and DJ Clark Kent. Our friends from Plus 41 have worked with Cellophane to mock up a sneaker that they would like to see release – the Air Max Trainer 90. In the times of hybrids we see many classic sneakers return, mixed with other classics and classic colorways. The Air Max Trainer 90 brings together the Trainer 1, Air Max 90 and also a bit of the Air Classic. We definitely like the outcome and can only imagine the lines in front of stores if this shoe would actually release.

After their recent reaction to the Bush incident in Iraq with a t-shirt (well, and a shoe), Plus 41 has now gotten together with New York’s ClassicKicks label Reine & Roi on the Esoptical Collection. The collection consists of a crewneck sweater, a hoodie and a t-shirt. We really like the mint green colorway of the sweater, and the all-over design of the hoodie is amazing from a graphics perspective. The famous eyes that were also placed on the Plus 41 x Nike Air Max 1 last year, also appear on the hoodie.

This week we intended the opening of the Roger Federer Installation at the Nike 0808 Store in Berlin. Graphic design agency Plus 41 created the installation, celebrating both the Olympic Games and also the birthday of the tennis superstar. The event was hosted by Nike and Artschoolvets.

Essentially Plus41 created a series of logos, each standing for a moment in the career of Roger Federer. A little while ago we presented you the flywire windrunnerand longsleeve that came featuring the very same artwork.

Just like a timeline, the logos guide you through the career of Federer, making it an interesting installation for sure. Should you be in Berlin any time soon, make sure to check it out.

Music act Justice has some concerts the end of the year in Switzerland and for the occasion Plus41 and So_Me joined forces to make a t-shirt. As usual the Swiss label managed to design a smart design. The t-shirt is now available in their online store (just like our collaboration X-Mas t-shirt!).

We are very pleased to introduce to you a new project today, in collaboration with Plus41. From this month on we will present each month a t-shirt to you, a collaboration between Plus41 and Highsnobiety. We start today with our X-Mas t-shirt.
The four sneakers on the t-shirt are connected via their laces. The structure makes a rotating snow machine and of course the “X” for X-Mas. The design comes printed on 100% heavy cotton and is cut & sew. On the t-shirt there is a 3 color screen print. The design is done by Plus41.
The t-shirt is now available in the Plus41 online store, limited to 50 pieces. It goes for 41 USD (29 Euros), worldwide shipping included.

Swiss designers Plus41 once again present a new range they have created for skate stores 242 – the Hubble Series. The series consists of two t-shirts and two decks. Each skater is a star in the 242 Chamber. The skaters represented here are Micky Iglesias and Miguel Alzate’s.

+41 is in charge of the design for the site (which is not done yet), and created some Fairtilizer t-shirts now. One t-shirt is a reference to Peter Saville/Joy Division’s work. They redesigned the FAIRTILIZER logo in an “Unknown Pleasure” way… the other one is an organic transcription of the same logo.

CURATED BY COLETTE is a collection of vinyls by 10 leading artists and graphic designers. André – aka Mr A -, Claude Closky, So-Me, Work in Progress (Self Service) from Paris, +41 from Switzerland, Greg Foley (Visionaire) and Fabien Baron from New York, KAWS from Brooklyn, Jeremy Scott from Beverly Hills and Nagi Noda from Tokyo. Only 500 copies of each set have been made, and all are exclusive to colette in France.

A long time ago we reported about this collaboration and now it finally got released at Sold Out. The Swiss graphic design  team and fashion brand, Plus41, designed two sneakers for the Etnies Plus collection and applied their iconic graphics to the upper of the shoes and mixed them with a nice choice of high end materials. Both models have now been released in limited quantities!
