Pointer has created an exclusive footwear collection for Liberty. The three new styles each come in two colorways, featuring premium leathers and have been produced in Portugal.

“Featuring the Benson, a mid-cut classic moccasin wrap-around construction, atop a custom-designed psychedelic rubber sole, the Saha, an update on the classic Derby combining traditional leather uppers with a rubbery sole with contrasting fine leather laces, and the Tanju, a ‘loafer for layabouts’, as classic as they come.”

The aesthetic and silhouettes are certainly premium and also more mature looking than the regular Pointer offering. Look out for a release soon.

UPDATE: We were just informed that this is actually not a range exclusive to Liberty or made for Liberty and just part of the in-line collection. Either way, we like the styles a lot and especially like seeing Pointer take the mature route.

Over the past few years we’ve watched UK-based Pointer go from strength to strength, refining and maturing their styles with each changing season. Marking the most mature styles we’ve seen so far from the brand, the Tanju is a slip-on with classic loafter styling, while the Saha is a clean boat silhouette with leather deck laces. Each shoe is constructed from super soft full grain leather with contrast leather lining. Color options for this season are Navy or Chocolate on white with subtle Pointer logo embossing on the heel. Pick up one or both, or two of each at Flatspot.

We present you the Pointer Benson chukka boot with moccasin toe and deck shoe sole unit from the UK brand’s Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. The shoe is made of a soft grain leather upper with contrasting heel panel and white sole unit. Nice details also include the leather laces and lining. Overall a very solid and easy to match shoe for this season. It is now available from Oi Polloi.

We take a first look at the Pointer Fall/Winter 2009 Footwear Collection. The UK brand has been making big moves in the casual footwear market and slowly takes over the US as well. The upcoming collection is once again full of great classics, easy to wear premium footwear for the days and the occasions you do not want to wear sneakers.

The Compass Show is a rather new contemporary footwear tradeshow that just went down in Las Vegas. Some of our favorite brands showcased their Fall 2009 collection, including Alife, Pointer, Clae, Converse by John Varvatos, SeeVees, Gourmet, Generic Surplus, Double Identity, Creative Recreation and many more.

We present you a new Spring/Summer 2009 colorway of the Pointer Fairbank, a low cut indoor court style sneaker. The sneaker features a mix of suede and canvas on the upper, and a premium padded leather collar. A very solid sneaker that goes with pretty much everything. It is now available here.

First pieces of the Pointer Spring 2009 Footwear collection have been released. The UK brand continues to evolve nicely and has become a major player in the casual footwear market. The line now consists of both subtle sneakers and casual shoes. The first Spring 2009 shipment has arrived this week at End.

Pointer Footwear from the UK is starting to expand and go beyond footwear. For Spring/Summer 2009 they are launching their first t-shirt collection.

The range showcases a collective tribute to board games of the 1970s and involves artists Jethro Haynes, Marcus Oakley, Nik Taylor, French & Playarea all who are long term members of the Pointer Art Family, having worked with the brand on a number of creative projects, most notably the Pointer Footwear advertising campaigns.

We show you some more styles out of the new Pointer Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The Pointer Soma Leather is a high top sneaker, which was just released at Pointer retailers. It features a clean black and respectively white leather upper with some suede accents on the heel. The lining features a subtle pattern, otherwise the sneaker sticks to its clean lines and is definitely a very solid release.
