Once again Japanese retailer Beams got together with Fred Perry. They produced four new polo shirts, two coming in a washed out look with tonal logos on the chest and the other two feature a pinstripe. Definitely some nice alternatives to the regular offering of Fred Perry.

Alife follows up on their recent organic cotton t-shirts and has now released their new organic cotton polo shirts. The polos come in black with a small chest embroidery. The New York brand has also released new t-shirts from their Spring 2009 collection, which are now available in their online store.

For Summer 2009, Japanese brand Bounty Hunter has released lots of new items. The drop includes 3/4 chino pants, shirts, t-shirts, polo shirts and in terms of accessories the brand has released sunglasses and a mobile ash tray.

Fred Perry has worked with The Specials, one of Britains most influential bands, to product a small collection of items to celebrate their 30th anniversary. They present two polo shirts and a shirt, which can now be pre-ordered from a special order page on the Fred Perry site.

“The shirts have been created around the core theme of ‘black and white unite’ so important to the band and their music. This is reflected in the monochrome palette and the unique twin coloured laurels and chequer detailing.”

2009 marks the centenary of the birth of Frederick John Perry and in celebration of Fred’s 100th the brand has developed a collection of classic Fred Perry shirts that feature a unique design detail; an enlarged 16 leaf laurel with the centenary embroidery placed underneath. The palette references classic Fred Perry colorways – white with leaf tipping, black with champagne tipping, 1964 sky with navy tipping and red with white tipping.

The shirt arrives in-store on May 15th and will be available at the Fred Perry Soho store in New York, Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Citizen Clothing in San Francisco and other selected retailers around the country. The shirt will retail for $95.

The UK flag polo celebrates the 100th anniversary of Fred Perry and features a small “100″ embroidery on the sleeve.

Lacoste gets together with United Arrows on a limited edition series of polo shirts. The polos come in four colorways, feature stripe patterns on the sleeves and the bottom and the iconic Lacoste crocodile logo comes in silver on the chest. Via Openers.

If you are looking for something outside of the norm and do not want to rock again the Fred Perry or Lacoste polos this summer, then make sure to check out the new polo line-up of Orchard Street. The brand produced some nice and solid polos, both uni color and striped, as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection.

We present you the next products in the Sophnet 10th Anniversary Collection – a collaboration with Lacoste on their classic polo shirts. Sophnet really impresses with this one, because unlike all the other Lacoste collaborators the Japanese brand proofs that they are an innovative brands all over again. The polos might look simple at first, but one set comes featuring Bincotan Materials mixed in with the cotton, ensuring a better ventilation and protection of the sun. The other set of polos comes in a cotton/bamboo mix.
