After having presented the upcoming 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera the other day, we now present the official commercial of the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S version, the sportier and slightly stronger street version of the iconic sports car.

Sitting between the 911 GT3 Cup and 911 GT3 RSR (which competes in Le Mans races), the 911 GT3 R represents the mid-range of Porsche’s customer racing vehicles. For 2012, the engine output has increased by 20 hp (to 500 hp), paddle-shifts have been added to the steering wheel to ensure gear changes are even quicker and simpler, and a softer anti-roll bar on the front axle reduces understeer. The new Porsche 911 GT3 R will be delivered to teams around the world from November 2011, with a starting price of 304,500 Euro. Note the adidas logo on the wing.

Ahead of the IAA car tradeshow in Frankfurt, images have leaked of the upcoming 2012 Porsche 911, certainly one of the more anticipated cars to come out in the near future.

While keeping the shape very similar to the current 911, the Stuttgart car manufacturer added a few design details that make overall quite a big difference. Both the front and back have been updated and while seeming a little more round, the car looks even more sporty and aggressive than before. Concerning the interior you really feel the luxury expertise that Porsche has gained over the years, mainly due to their Panamera model. Comfort, functionality and just overall appearance have received a big upgrade inside the car.

The overall longer look is no surprise, as the new 2012 Porsche 911 is in fact slightly longer than its predecessor. Soon news should also come out on the engine upgrades of the car.

Porsche has released a special edition 911 Turbo to celebrate the company’s tenth anniversary in China. There are only ten of the models available in the world, and each comes with a gold exterior, 19 inch Sport Classic wheels, Alcantara sport seats and a carbon fiber rear spoiler.

Before moving on to their next 911 series, Porsche is busy releasing a few new limited edition models on the popular current model. Today we present the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS. The all wheel drive version comes with a 408 horsepower engine, an all Alcantara leather interior, special 19-inch spyder wheels and a mechanical rear differential lock. Furthermore the breaks come in red on this special edition, giving the car an even sportier look.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS will be released as a coupe and a convertible.

The 2012 Porsche Cayman S Black Edition features a 10-horsepower boost from the Cayman S (to 330) and a long list of standard equipment at an attractive price. Only available in solid black, the 3.4L six-cylinder mid-engine car features painted black 19-inch Boxster Spyder wheels (an upgrade from the 18-inch on the standard Cayman S,) and further black painted trim pieces.

On the interior, black prevails once again with aluminum and stainless steel accents. Even the instrument dials and black instead of the usual white. The package also includes Bi-Xenon headlights, a touch-screen navigation system, BOSE surround-sound and the option of PDK transmission – an upgrade that allows the car to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

The 2012 Cayman S Black Edition goes for $67,500 USD and is limited to 500 units worldwide.

Today Porsche finally revealed the new 911 GT3 RS 4.0 limited edition. This new car marks the last limited edition GT3 RS based on the current Carrera 911 design. The 4.0 liter engine is packed with 500 horsepower and just all around the latest in what a street supercar can offer. The suspension, vehicle weight, brakes and overall design have of course also been improved. The minimalist and sporty interior came out beautiful, especially due to the heavy use of carbon fibre. We love the retro styling of the exterior of the car, perfectly in line of what we have been seeing from the Porsche racing division for so many years already. The car will go on sale in Germany July 2011 and is limited to 600 units worldwide.

First seen at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the Porsche 918 Spyder is now available for ordering. Featuring cutting-edge plug-in hybrid technology and stunning performance, the Spyder will forever change the future of the super sports car. The 500+ horsepower V8 engine is assisted by two electric motors with a total of at least 218 horsepower and 3.0L/100km gas milage. Production will be limited to 918 examples, beginning September 18, 2013 (9/18) for a cool $845,000 USD.

Those who order the 918 Spyder will also have the opportunity to acquire a special-edition 911 Turbo S Coupe or Cabriole with design elements that echo the Spyder’s styling, including carbon-fiber components, enhanced leather equipment and acid-green accents. The glove compartment door will feature a badge with the same production number as the customer’s 918 Spyder. The 911s will ship later in 2011.

Porsche is celebrating reaching 1′000′000 fans on Facebook. For the occasion the German sports car manufacturer has produced a special edition GT3 R Hybrid, which has printed the names of all Porsche Facebook fans on the upper of the car. They have also launched a special website for the initiative, allowing you to zoom in on the car and maybe find your own name on there. Check it out here.
