O.H.W.O.W. participates in an upcoming show at the Macro Future Museum in Rome. They will also set up a pop-up store inside the exhibition, where they will offer the “New York Minute” Poster Pack. The 10 individual posters are by Aurel Schmidt, Dash Snow, Dan Colen, Barry McGee, Chris Johanson, Evan Gruzis, Kon Trubkovich, Tauba Auerbach, Ben Jones and JD Samson. Each poster is 12 x 18 inches and was executed for the New York Minute Exhibition.

100 Poster packs will be made available for purchase exclusively through the pop-up bookstore. Posters will also be on display in Rome throughout the length of the exhibition.

The other day we showed you the Takashi Murakami t-shirt that was released at the Vogue Nippon x Comme des Garcons “Magazine Alive” store in Tokyo. Here now a look at the “Magical Priness” poster that was also produced for the occasion. The poster comes in an edition of 300 and is signed, as well as numbered. Our guess is, that it is already sold out, so you might want to start checking eBay. Via Number 3.

Today we received the new Carhartt Brand Book Vol. 1. The brand starts to present seasonal books, similar to some of the Japanese brands. Inside the first issue, we came across an interesting project. As part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, Carhartt got together with Krink. The collaboration consists of an exclusive set of three K-71 permanent markers, that includes a customized version of the infamous Carhartt Dearborn Canvas brown. As an add-on they also produced a t-shirt series, limited to 250 pieces, as well as 250 limited edition silkscreen posters. Both the markers and the t-shirts come in re-usable canvas bags in the distinctive colors of the market set.  A release is set some time in the near future.

Disney is currently promoting their upcoming Star Wars weekends in May and June and to do so, they produced a series of ads. Each ad features one of your favorite characters from the movies. The ads are fun and also look great, making it an overall well executed campaign. Via BBC/Ice Cream.

Mike Giant produced a nice graphic, showing off his ‘64 Black Cinelli Super-Corsa bike and offered it to the Italian bike maker. They liked it so much, that they will soon be releasing it as a limited edition poster.

To commemorate the release of the OBEY/Stereo skateboard collaboration OBEY, Stereo and Matt Goldman teamed up to release a limited poster designed by Matt Goldman and Shepard Fairey. The initial poster offering sold out immediately with a few being given out at the release party. OBEY Clothing will be offering the hidden, remaining posters on their website at 1pm PST on Tuesday, April 14. In addition, 100 T-shirts were printed for the occasion. Most were given away at the party but a few were divided up prior to the festivities amongst Stereo, Matt Goldman and OBEY Clothing. OBEY Clothing’s portion will be available from their site www.obeyclothing.com on Tuesday at 1pm PST as well.

We reported last week about the Takashi Murakami “inochi” exhibition and announced the release of the character as a toy in collaboration with Medicom. For the exhibition three posters were also released. Limited to 300 pieces, each poster can be purchased at the exhibition, featuring English or Japanese text.

Somehow Supreme always manages to surprise us. In recent years we saw downtown New York plastered in Kermit posters and Mike Tyson, this season Lou Reed is part of the Supreme Spring/Summer 2009 campaign. In our season preview this week we already showcased the t-shirt, featuirng the musician wearing a Supreme box logo tee, here now a look at the posters. Via Allen.

Start 2009 with a great new poster from NYC artist Neckface. Produced in collaboration with O.H.W.O.W. the poster is 2-sided and entitled “Burn Bitch/Bitch Burn”. It is now available for 35 USD here.

For the Hi & Lo exhibition that Hiroshi Fujiwara curated, the Japanese designer and artist Takashi Murakami have created art posters. Fusing the photography of Fujiwara and art of Murakami, the posters came out very nice. Via honeyee.
