PRPS Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Lookbook

We take a look at the upcoming PRPS Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. We feel like the brand is becoming more focused again since last season and also really like what we are seeing for the upcoming one. Workwear inspired, next to nicely aged denim, they present some strong jackets and shirts. Sometimes PRPS distresses their goods a little too much for us, but overall they kept a nice balance for Spring 2011.

Check out the rest of the looks after the jump.

First Look | PRPS Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

First Look | PRPS Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

Our brothers over at SL profile the forthcoming AW10 collection from PRPS. “While everyone knows about PRPS’ denim by now, their outerwear is strengthening season on season. On the coat side, there’s denim work jackets, shearling lined coats alongside the usual cropped denim jackets. The main influences were aztec (which we’re sure came off the navajo trend that started appearing a few seasons ago) and 50’s western, which came up in their new vintage denim, the LTD 20. Washed denim is still a hot bone of contention in menswear (stonewash denim still gives plenty of folks the chills) but if you were to take the easy way out, PRPS would be the brand of choice.”

PRPS Sea Blue Flannel

PRPS Sea Blue Flannel Shirt
We have seen more flannels this Fall/Winter season than in the past 10 years all together. They came of course in the form of shirts, sneakers, bags, accessories, jackets, you name it. Without wanting to bore you, we still do have to show you this fresh flannel shirt by PRPS. The sea blue color looks nice, but what makes this shirt stand out is the approach and amount of customization. It almost feels like the people from PRPS took the same approach as with their denim – lots of custom work, adding value to an otherwise pretty basic product. On the pockets, cuffs and other spots there are nice embroideries smartly changing the look of the shirt.
Definitely one of the best flannel shirts we have come across this season. It is now available at Commonwealth.
