Following a successful first season, PUMA continues the Urban Mobility Collection into FW’10 under the creative direction of Hussein Chalayan. Embracing the concept of minimalism in urban living, Chalayan infuses each sneaker with understated functionality. Styles include the Urban Flyer, Urban Flyer Fold (a slip-on variant) and Urban Motus. The Motus (pictured above) is our pick of the litter, with clean suede chukka boot styling and subtle branding.

PUMA provided designer Sadia Rafique with the iconic First Round silhouette and she went to work – handpicking fabrics, colors, trims, laces, print techniques, and designing an accompanying shoe bag. The final design features transfers of Sadia’s ink drawings and poetic messaging in black, white, and pink, enhanced by LOT 78’s quality soft leather and suede. Limited to 400 pairs. The on-going collaboration of Puma and Japanese designer Miharaya Yasuhiro enters its 10th year Spring/Summer 2010. For the occasion they have produced a great viral video, introducing the Pumaneko. Check out the viral video here below!

Puma continues to collaborate with Italian high fashion house Sergio Rossi on footwear. For Spring 2010 the First Round high top sneaker comes in two colorways. The sneakers feature a fish scale print on the upper along with a Sergio Rossie signature print. The sneakers are now available at Luisaviaroma.

A couple of weeks ago we presented to you the Puma x Kehinde Wiley collaboration. Here comes now a lookbook of the collection that was inspired by the collaboration between the artist and the athletic company. Just as expected, the line is colorful and features lots of patterns on both clothing and footwear.

After the massive success of the relaunch of the Puma Suede, Puma UK will be re-releasing 6 more OG colorways as part of the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Release dates are as follows: Dark Green/White and Grey/Navy on February 6th, Purple/Yellow and Orange/White on March 27th, Sky Blue/White and Yellow/White on May 8th.

Yesterday Puma hosted a gallery opening to present their recent work with artist Kehinde Wiley. Three soccer stars that are sponsored by Puma, stood model for the artist. The resulting painting features the three soccer players and represents the Africa nations. Also the players are wearing the Unity jersey, which was especially designed for the African teams. After Berlin, the portraits will go on a gallery tour to Paris, London, New York and some other cities.

American Rag worked with Puma on their own version of the Sky II Hi. Featured in a combination glossy patent leather and matte suede upper, the Sky II has been updated with the same sole used in the popular First Round and Clyde silhouettes, giving it a much more streamlined look. No word on whether these will release outside of American Rag Japan. (hymns)

Puma continues to use a lot of mesh in their new Spring 2010 Collection. Here we take a look at the R698. It comes this season in two colorways, featuring black and grey uppers mixed with a highlight color on the upper and lining.

The most popular Puma high top sneaker, the First Round, comes for Spring 2010 in a new mesh outfit. The sneaker comes in red and blue tonal mesh colorways with hints of patent leather and suede.
