PUMA has just released a new video that tells the story of their collaborative 700 Level shoes with UBIQ, as well as the history of the 700 level itself.

Sneaker lovers and sport enthusiasts have so much in common. Both have an innate streak of crazy. Both know that sometimes they have to patiently wait for the things they want most – limited editions, championship titles, etc. But most importantly, both understand that the colors they paint on their faces and the kicks they put on their feet define who they are.

For these reasons, PUMA teamed up with Philadelphia sneaker collector boutique UBIQ. Located in center city, UBIQ sits at the heart of a sport-crazed culture – where brotherly love is more like sibling rivalry and fans have souls made of steel.

The PUMA x UBIQ 700 Level collection drops November 8th at UBIQ Philly.

We get a first look at some upcoming sneaker styles and clothing from the Hussein Chalayan x Puma Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. The designer presents a Chukka and a high top sneaker. We also get to check out a first t-shirt from the collection.

Puma gets inspired by soda drinks for their latest Basket 2 Pack. The pack consists of overall 4 sneakers, whose colorways have been inspired by Diet Coke, Coca-Cola, Fanta and Root Beer. The sneakers have been released this week and Puma retailers.

Puma and Kidrobot have worked together with the Design Association NPO on the “Munny” Charity Project. Working with the Green and Africa theme and having in mind the 2010 soccer worldcup in South Africa, Puma and Kidrobot invited 40 artists and architects to work on their Munny toy. The final toys will be shown at the Tokyo Design Week and there will of course also be a charity auction held. The outcome is very impressive and certainly among the most creative in terms of toy customization we have seen to date.

The Puma Clyde comes for Holiday 2009 in two new colorways. The sneakers feature a fading effect on the upper, one going from white to black, the other one from black to gold. Both feature patent leather uppers and also a bit of a pixelated look. The pack is now available from Mita.

Puma worked with Philadelphia based store Ubiq on the 700 Level Collection. The line consists of two Puma Clydes and two Puma Suede Mids, as well as a beanie. The collection tells the story of the Veteran Stadium in Philadelphia. Colors, materials, as well as other details on the sneakers bring the story to life. The sneakers and beanie will be released on November 21st at select Puma stockists.

UPDATE: In the US they are dropping at UBIQ and UNDFTD (La Brea) on November 8th.

Puma also presents a special sneaker pack for Halloween 2009. The pack consists of the Basket Boo and the Mr. Bones Mid. The Basket Boo comes in white leather with nice details on the back, the eyelets and the outer sole, playing with the ghost theme. The Mr. Bones Mid comes in an interesting fabric mix on the upper with bold stitching details and a less graphical approach.

As part of the Puma limited edition List collection comes for Holiday 2009 the Slipstream Hi Monster LTD. The high top sneaker features a red/black exotic pattern in horse hair over most of the upper. Furthermore oestrich leather and other premium leathers have been applied. Look out for a release in December.

An interesting pack will be released from Puma later this year – the Bubble Tech Pack. The pack consists of the Sky 2 Hi 10 Cell, Puma Mid Archive and the Disc Blaze 10 Cell. Puma enters into a new game with this pack, adding new technology to existing archive styles. More news about the pack should come soon. It is scheduled to release at Overkill and other premium Puma retailers in December.

Puma has released the Suede Fat Lace in Japan. The sneaker sticks to its classic looks and elements, except for one little interesting detail – the Puma logo stripe has been given the look of a fat lace. The sneaker comes in three colorways and is now available from Mita.
