Japanese brand Quolomo created this G-Shock watch as a tribute to the 1960’s television series Cyborg 009. A black face adorned with both Cyborg and Quolomo logos is complemented by a well-designed watch band featuring black line art drawings of characters from the show. The Cyborg “009″ logo appears on the EL backlight. Overall, a fairly simple piece that’s just different enough from your average white G-Shock. Available July 19th at e-casio.

QUOLOMO has announced the forthcoming solo exhibition of photographs by Japanese photographer Yasumasa “Yone” Yonehara entitled “QUOLOMO YONE” The exhibition, supported by fashion and culture magazine DAZED & CONFUSED JAPAN, features works photographed by Yonehara for his popular “TALKING ABOUT HER SEX” photo series, a staple of the magazine. At the exhibition, Yonehara’s signature style and artistic vision will also appear on a series of twenty collectable “QUOLOMO YONE” photo t-shirt designs, available to the public, and featuring Japanese models Sora Aoi, Yuuki Maomi, You Hirukawa, Keiko Wakita and Mikiko Yano. The “QUOLOMO YONE” exhibition will run from January 23, 2009 to February 28, 2009, in the PART1 B1F Event Space of Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya PARCO shopping complex.

As a compliment to the “QUOLOMO YONE” exhibition, on February 1, 2009, Yonehara and QUOLOMO will launch www.quolomoyone.net, a bilingual microsite that will act as both an online exhibition and web retail space. The site will allow global fans and collectors of Yone’s prolific work to experience “QUOLOMO YONE” and purchase limited offerings from the co-branded “QUOLOMO YONE” t-shirt series.
