American label Rag & Bone have put a nice take on this boot. It’s a low texture leather brown boot in brown that’s complemented by the addition of tweed-like plaid textile sides in pastel tones. These Mallroy Boots have a capped toes, tonal lace-up closure, and black eyelets and lace hooks, complete with the brand’s signature logo embossed on the heel. The Selectism gents bring good news from the land of Penfield / Rag & Bone.
For Holiday 2010, they work together on a special make-up based on Penfield’s Rockford silhouette. “The Penfield for rag & bone Mallory down jacket comes in two colorways, with updated fabrication and subtle design details created to complement and combine both brands’ distinctive, rugged aesthetic. The Mallory is available in black thornproof wool with a contrast corduroy shoulder yoke in black and in deep khaki with a dark olive corduroy shoulder yoke. Both jackets feature brown plaid interior lining, two traditionally shaped front chest pockets, two lower welt pockets and custom co-branding on the inside.”

Last night we attended the official launch event of the rag & bone Crafted by Timberland Boot Company boot collection, which took place at the Rag & Bone store in New York City. The several boot styles were nicely presented in the store with a special setup, highlighting the craftsmanship involved in the footwear line.

Rag & Bone offers some clean high top suede sneakers as part of their latest collection. In addition to the prominent lacing, accents include brown leather paneling with cross stitch detailing in the rear and tonal top stitching. You can find these at SSENSE.
Rag & Bone presents a nice looking new RB Crepe Moc Boot for Fall 2010. The upper comes in a mix of premium leather and suede and the shoe is finished with a Crepe outer sole. We like that it does not look to rugged. It is now available from ForwardForward.

Announced earlier this year, the new collaborative collection of boots between rag & bone and Timberland for Fall 2010 is coming to stores in the following weeks. The menswear brand has worked on some beautiful boots for the new season, introducing interesting materials with premium effects into the line. Most of the boots come with a bi-tonal look, also featuring at least two different materials on the upper, while all of them come with Vibram outer soles. A special collaborative tag has been placed on the inside of the tongue of each boot.
