A fantastic new collaborative project is coming from Western Edition and RAW. A set of a t-shirt, beanie and matching skateboard deck, inspired by the great Marvin Gaye.
“Every man’s life has a beginning and an end. The fact of the matter is, however, that it is what a man does with the time in between those two moments that defines how he will be remembered when it is all over. From his humble beginnings in our nation’s capital to his bizarre and tragic death at the hand of his own father, Marvin Gaye filled his moments in between with ideas that will forever maintain his status as a true genius. On April 1, 2009, the twenty-fifth anniversary of Marvin’s passing, we will, for lack of a better term, celebrate. Western Edition of San Francisco and RAW of Boston have released this collection to pay respect to the musical history that Marvin Gaye left for all of us to use as inspiration.” Via Radcollector.
Detailed images of all three pieces in this set follow after the jump.

Boston’s Ready Amongst Willing is one of the rare companies that manufactures products out of love and reverence for their core activities. In their case, its skateboarding. Since 2006, they’ve built slowly and consistently, forging an identity with bold and direct graphics. Aside from love and reverence for their favored sport, the guys at RAW are also highly involved in their local scene, and in particular recognize the importance of the scenes history.
A Positive Kit grows out of this interest. RAW has worked with Matt O’Brien, owner of the now passed but not forgotten Positive Skateshop. Located on Newbury Street in Boston, the shop was a hub of activity for skaters from across New England. In the tradition of the shop and the second collaborator, Matty Johnson’s influence, A Positive Kit helps keep the regions skate story alive. On the simplest level, they do that by providing everyday hardwear that allows sessions to keep rolling. Tool kits for allen head and phillips head are available, along with a nice series of logo product.

We present you the Fall 2008 collection by skate label RAW. What we enjoy most about RAW is their literal take of their brand name. With logos and very few graphics, the brands present a nice collection with a very clean look.
In the RAW Fall 2008 collection you find t-shirts, sweaters, as well as a nice selection of beanies, all very much on point. When you have such a strong brand name, there is not much else to say. And sometimes the simpler the better, really holds true!

RAW, Ready Amongst Willing, is a Boston based skateboard company that we have been watching since last year. What we enjoy most about their product is the clean design and message. You will not find oversized prints, over-designed graphics and so many other mistakes other brands out there make every day.
Their new Summer ‘08 collection is the perfect example. They offer both t-shirts and 5-panel caps. The line-up is strong, yet subtle, which turns out to be timeless.

Cali Denim has made some nice moves since its inception last year. Especially the sneaker protector was welcomed by many. Now the Swedish denim brand presents their latest line-up, a re-work of their original raw denim and the Lux pack.
The new OG Raw denim comes with a slightly changed cut, further improving the sneaker cut at the bottom. Also they now come with piano laqueered rivets and buttons for a darker and cleaner look. The famous sneaker protector now comes as a gel print instead of cotton, improving the functionality significantly.
Also they present the Lux Pack, which comes in two versions. The Lux pack features a calf skin leather sneaker protector, which is not only nice for the looks, but also ensures that your denim does not break at the bottom. Other nice touches include an extra leather tag on the back pocket.
The OG Raw denim comes limited to 144 pieces. The Lux denim comes limited to 95 pieces in each colorway. These are available as of today at Caliroots and soon at other premium retailers around the globe.
