“The shoe is the six inch Moc Toe Work Boot, made of waterproof, dark charcoal Nubuck; featuring Redwing’s classic white Traction Tred sole and Goodyear welt.”

Ronnie F. once again worked with Red Wing for David Z. on a special make-up of one of their most classic boots – the “Ashy Grey” Classic.

Similar to their first Red Wing collaboration, they kept the heel piece in solid black leather, a nice contrast to the otherwise grey upper. Only 60 pairs have been produced and will be released at David Z’s Broadway flagship store and online store today, December 10th.

Brands with history are celebrating a big comeback in recent years and interpret their classics in new ways. Especially the Japanese market has always closely watched classic American brands and adopted their styles accordingly. The Workwear clothing brands have been very successful as of late to be adopted as fashion brands. We are thinking of brands such as Carhartt, Woolrich and others. Therefore, Red Wing should also, if done right, be successful with their clothing.
