Today we can finally give you a more detailed look at the collaborative watches by G-Shock with Mr. Cartoon, Todd Jordan and Redman.
“To create the three new models, Casio has collaborated with a graphic artist, a photographer, and a hip-hop artist. The results are the Mr. Cartoon model (DW-6900MRC), the Todd Jordan model (DW-5600TOD), and the Redman model (AW-591RED).”
We especially like the Todd Jordan watch, which comes in a nice black/silver colorway with matching black screen and signature.
From the adidas x Def Jam 25th Anniversary Collection, the two Redman collaboration models have been released. The rapper worked on the Superstar and the Forum Mid. The Superstar comes with a red suede upper and black details, as well as a speckled sole. The Forum Mid comes in white/blue/red with gold accents. Both are now available from Proper.
More detailed images of both sneakers follow after the jump.
G-Shock is not standing still these days and keeps us very busy with one new collaboration after the other. Just like with other brands that get the hang of the collaboration game, some of these coops are great and others less. We will let you be the judge of that.
Today we take a first look at upcoming collaborative watches with Redman, Todd Jordan, Mr. Cartoon, Globe and LRG. LRG has worked several times already with the brand. The others worked on special watch make-ups and Globe even produced a special sneaker to go along with their G-Shock watch.
We attended the recent G-Shock event that not only showcased these new collaborations, but also saw Kanye West perform live for the crowd. Definitely a momorable night! Here below a video of one of his performances of the night.
As part of their Originals campaign that began with the House Party ads, adidas threw a release party for Redman and Method Man’s new Blackout album at their store in SoHo last night. A packed house enjoyed endless mini tacos from a taco truck parked outside and Ciroc cocktails as Red and Meth mingled with models and old school homies like Raekwon and Crazy Legs. The event was held in anticipation of the upcoming adidas x Def Jam 25th Anniversary collab which will feature shoes designed with both Redman and Method Man.
Redman designed a series of three skateboard decks – the Mascot Skateboard Decks. The decks come limited to 500 pieces each and are now on sale at Sk8thing.
