After having shown you already the Solebox and mita sneakers collaborations with Reebok on the Workout, celebrating the sneaker’s 25th anniversary, we move on and give you an exclusive first look at the collaboration with Parisian boutique Starcow. Inspired by the city of Paris and their passion for skateboarding, the outcome is rather simple looking version of the low top sneaker, yet packed with some great features at a closer look.

“We wanted to propose a classic take on the Reebok Workout shoe. With an upper as grey as the Parisian rooftops & the streets that we skate. Orange as an honor to the classic gum soles.

Since we have our heart in skate culture, maybe it wasn’t a coincidence that the shoe ended up looking something like a skate shoe…

For the materials we wanted something more technical; water-resistant suede for the upper, Thinsulate™ lining & an inner sole with cushion. Easy on the looks but performing for the user.”

The Starcow x Reebok Workout Low Plus 25th Anniversary will release along with the other retail collaborations on February 15th, 2012.

After having presented the first collaboration between Reebok and Solebox on the Workout Plus yesterday, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic sneaker, we move on to the next team-up.

Reebok also got together with Japanese retailer mita sneakers for this special project. Keeping the functionality aspect in mind, that the Reebok Workout Plus was initially introduced for, mita was inspired by workwear for their version of the sneaker. Functional beauty is the core message of their design, which features a heavy duck canvas upper, gum outer sole, striped wool lining and hiking boot laces.

The mita sneakers x Reebok Workout Low Plus 25th Anniversary will release along with the other retail collaborations on February 15th, 2012.

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Workout, Reebok Classics has collaborated with fifteen top retail partners from around the globe. One of a handful of sneakers that defies its age, the Reebok Workout is a true classic. Originally designed as a multi-discipline shoe, the sneaker provided a cross-gender solution to lateral support as well as a point-of-difference, making a simple shoe an icon. The evolved dual strap concept lending both functionality and an arresting aesthetic.

In 1987 — 25 years ago — the Workout had a slight makeover. Adding extra paneling on the forefoot, the sneaker became more durable for street wear and the Reebok Workout Plus was born.

Today we reveal the first collaboration of the project. Berlin based sneaker retailer Solebox as usual wanted to take a new approach for this collaboration and decided to go with fish leather on the entire upper, the result being an exclusive and premium feel. Also this is the first time ever that fish leather has been used on the iconic sneaker. Along with the rest of the collaborations, the Solebox x Reebok Workout will drop on February 15th, 2012.

It’s been 23 years now since Reebok introduced one of its most significant offerings in terms of sneaker technology when they debuted its Pump system. That popular feature still exists today as seen here with the release of this limited edition Insta Pump Fury in a red/citron colorway, which is an original color of this style. Limited to 2012 pairs, these numbered shoes will hit select key accounts including Atmos.

While most brands have been busy re-releasing their classics in new colorways for the last 10 years, only very few understood to keep on innovating while doing so. Thankfully the market seems to slowly catch on to the next trend of offering up new shoes and new versions of classics, but not by switching up materials and colors, but by actually offering improved technology.

Seeing Reebok come out with their Pump Fury HLS and Ventilator HLS certainly excites us more than all their silly Asian collaborations, which have thankfully also gotten less ‘in your face’ in the last couple of seasons. With performance being at the core of these new releases, they still maintain the silhouettes and shapes of its classic originals, making these a perfect fusion of both worlds. We are definitely looking forward to test these out.

Well, we all know how much the Japanese love their leopard patterns. mita sneakers has teamed up with Reebok on the classic Insta Pump Fury and given it the leopard treatment.While most of the upper is covered in the pattern, other details are in black and grey with hints of red. Look out for a release January 2nd, 2012.

Long Island, NY sneaker boutique, Extra Butter has teamed up with Reebok for their first collaborative sneaker release. The “AHCHOO” Pump AXT releases at Extra Butter on 12.31.11. Check the video for a Dave Chappelle style preview.

In what is probably one of the coolest names for a sneaker, the Reebok CL Alien Stomper sees another collaborative release as seen here, this time around with Chapter. This pretty much all blacked out iteration looks like it means business, so call up the homegirl Ellen Ripley and get ready for action against those pesky aliens. Look for these to drop around mid-December.

The Reebok Blast is inspired by the original 1990’s version of the shoe, aptly named for its distinctive flared heel design. The shoe also features Hexalite technology for optimum cushioning and a premium leather upper. In our gallery you’ll see some shots of Meek Mill wearing the Blast shoes as well. Available December in the Black/White/Excellent Red/Salty Grey colorway pictured.

Not new to each other, for Holiday 2011 XLarge has once again teamed up with Reebok on the Insta Pump Fury. While keeping most of the sneaker in purple and black, the hints of brown suede and pink really make it a solid colorway. The collaborative sneaker will release on November 25th, 2011.
