This winter, UNDRCRWN’s Creative Director, Dustin O. Canalin, will be releasing a very limited capsule collection dubbed D.O.C. (his initials). The D.O.C range is a much more mature line of clothes focusing mainly on cut & sew garments. To compliment the capsule, UNDRCRWN has partnered with Rockport to create the Delta Boot. Constructed of melton wool, gingham, waxed laces and butter soft leather, the boot is limited to 100 pairs and will be available worldwide starting Friday November 27, 2009.

DJ Cassidy got together with Rockport to design a pair of the Bridgeport Boat Shoe. He was inspired by his big musical infuences – Run DMC and Michael Jacketson.

To create the shoe, Cassidy drew inspiration from his musical and fashion influences, notably Run-DMC and Michael Jackson. Cassidy is often seen wearing the adidas shelltoe sneakers made famous by Run DMC in the early eighties. To pay homage to the Hip Hop icons, Cassidy designed a special elastic component under the tongue so that the boat shoe may be worn comfortably without laces.

For the boat shoe colorway, Cassidy looked to what he considers the greatest outfit of all time – Michael Jackson’s ensemble in the “Billie Jean” video of a black leather suit, red bow tie, pink shirt and pink socks. To celebrate this legendary look, the DJ Cassidy Bridgeport boat shoe is constructed of soft pink perforated leather, a red canvas upper, and a black pinstripe. The shoe also features unique gold eyelets and a custom pink terry cloth footbed.

In honor of the King Of Pop, Rockport has produced 50 limited edition pairs numbered 1–50 to commemorate each year of his life. The exclusive shoe comes packaged in a custom DJ Cassidy shoe box complete with pink tissue paper, red satin bow tie and personalized card from Cassidy detailing his inspirations. Rockport is offering a limited number of pairs for sale at New York’s Blue & Cream beginning in August 2009.

The collaboration between Bodega and Rockport on the Bayshore boot will be released today, March 14th. Along with the two boots, the “Town” and the “Country” boot, they will also be releasing two wool 5-panel caps, which feature nice leather Bodega tags.

Boston’s Bodega store got together with Rockport to collaborate on the Bayshore boot, which is kind of a mid version of a boat shoe. Bodega chose materials according to durability and styling and the outcome are two colorways, both equally beautiful.

The Town Shoe comes in black leather with a melton wool collar and is lined with plaid flannel. The leather lacing and white sole are nice finishing touches. The Country version comes in a waterproof brown leather and trai laces. We would have a hard time choosing among them, they both look great. The Bodega logo appears on the inner sole and on a leather tag that comes with each shoe.

The Bodega x Rockport Boots will be released in March 14th.

Rockport and the S.L.A.T.E tradeshow have collaborated to create a limited-edition Ghille Moc to commemorate the February 2009 edition of S.L.A.T.E. The show starts today in Las Vegas and includes exhibiting brands Stussy, 10 Deep, Crooks and Castles and many others. The Ghille Moc will be gifted to the show’s staff and to a short list of key influencers.

In a rather curious move, Rockport has launched its "Are You Established?" advertising campaign. The series coincides with Established 1971 theme that Rockport has going this year. We’ve shown you a few pieces from that collection, a rather nice set of boat shoes. The "Are You Established" campaign rising talent and influencers in music and fashion together in a (seeming) attempt to lift the profile of the brand. Among the chosen "influencers" are singer Raheem DeVaughn and Bee Nyguyen of Hot Air. XXL, Complex and Vapors will have the ads. Will be interesting to see how this move plays out. (Via Prohiphop). 

Today we report for the first time about Rockport. It’s a brand that we never really looked at or covered, but recently we got our hands onto their "Bridgeport" boat shoe and can not complain.
The Rockport "Bridgeport" is part of the "Established 71" collection of the brand. This collection is luxury-inspired and merges authentic versatile style with advanced technology. 
For now they offer the "Bridgeport" in a variety of colors, all coming in premium leathers. Soon you will also see some more wild styles with patent leather, checker designs and more. Definitely interesting and overall also very affordable.
