Today we can give you an exclusive first look at the new Incase Curated by Arkitip collection by Korean-born artist Rostarr. Working with each of an iPhone 4 Snap Case, an iPad Convertible Book Cover and a MacBook Pro 15″ Case, Rostarr applied his signature “Graphysics” geometric graphic work for an attractive, functional piece of art in greyscale with orange highlights.

As part of their Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists program, the sneaker brand teams up with artist Rostarr. Best known for his east-meets-west designs, the New York artist created a black/white all-over design for the Converse Chuck Taylor Hi.

“For this make-up Rostarr based his design off of African masks that are worn during ceremonial events in which social, religious and moral values are the focus” Via Complex.

The Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists “Rostarr” sneaker will be released in March for 70 USD.

O.H.W.O.W. presents their latest book – “Wreckless Abandon” by Rostarr. The softcover book comes with 74 pages of art by the artist. Definitely a nice collectors edition for fans and art connoisseurs.

Romon Kimin Yang aka Rostarr, was born in South Korea but has lived in NY since 1989. He has been a key figure in the city’s underground art scene and has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Yang graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1993.

His latest exhibition, Wreckless Abandon opens October 11 at OH WOW in Miami. It will remain open until November 8.

Last year Rostarr held an exhibition at the Turntable Lab in LA. For the occasion they had worked on a collaboration with Clae Footwear. They made the Garvey slip-on model in all black and added a tonal Rostarr artwork embroidery to it. They still have the available in store now!

The first G-SHOCK CONCRE series features models created in partnership with New York artists ERIC ELMS, MADSAKI, ROSTARR and East Village retailer DAVE’S QUALITY MEAT.
Developed and produced under the guidance of G-SHOCK Japan, the CONCRE line is a significant development for the global G-SHOCK brand. In Japan and worldwide, G-SHOCK is known for its iconic watch collaborations with Japanese domestic streetwear brands such as A BATHING APE and KIKS TYO and for it’s creative partnerships with the Japanese branches of global brands and retailers including STUSSY, LEVI’S and UNDEFEATED.  However, distribution and sales of such G-SHOCK collaborations are often restricted to Japan, rendering the high caliber creations unavailable to G-SHOCK fans abroad. In a move that expands the distribution of special G-SHOCK make-ups for the first time in the brands history, the new CONCRE watch line will launch worldwide at select streetwear and sneaker boutiques, skate shops, and finer retail accounts in the USA, UK, Europe and Asia.

Casio G-SHOCK revealed today the launch of “CONCRE,” an exclusive watch line designed in collaboration with internationally renown artists, creators and brands from the world of street culture. The first G-SHOCK CONCRE series, featuring models created in partnership with New York artists ERIC ELMS, MADSAKI, ROSTARR and East Village retailer DAVE’S QUALITY MEAT, will be viewable to the public at an exclusive model launch exhibition hosted by DAVE’S QUALITY MEAT during New York Fashion Week (September 5th – September 12, 2007). As a complement to the exhibition, on the evening of September 9th, a private CONCRE launch reception event for media, artists, retailers, friends and family will be hosted by FRANK 151 at THE PLUMM in the West Village (please see exhibition and reception invitation below).

Turntable Lab has released the new Stereo Summer 2007 collection and along this fresh new Stereo x Rostarr skate deck. In nice bright colors it is the perfect deck for the summer. The deck is limited to 300 pieces.
