Today we come across this pretty smart new Nike Running campaign. While the Nike Running logo has been placed on the upper part of the park benches, the actual park bench bottoms have been removed.

Running has come a long way in terms of style in recent years. Nike has been pushing the sport hard both with in-line releases and with specials, including their on-going collaboration with Jun Takahashi of Undercover. We are not complaining – finally wearing a functional and light shoe is a good thing.

Here we present the new Nike Running Campaign for Holiday 2011. We really like the mix of solid colors and bold color accents, as well as the subtle use of reflective materials. The outcome is a high performance running collection that can still work well in the lifestyle area as well.

The first running collection by Nike and Undercover debuted last season and it was a big success. If you remember, at the time we sat down with designer Jun Takahashi in New York to talk about the partnership.

Not only did the partnership result in a well designed collection, both the choice of color and functionality were really innovative. From what we heard from stores around the globe, the line sold out in no time. Today we can give you a first look at the new Nike Gyakusou Spring 2011 Collection by Undercover. Once again we see that Takahashi used an interesting color palette and the styles are all filled with functionality, always keeping the runner in mind.

From this coming Fall/Winter 2010 season there will be a new Undercover by Nike Collection entitled “GYAKUSOU” (Gyakusouinternationalrunningassociation). The brand combines the design by Undercover with innovative running gear from Nike, definitely a collaboration that we look out for. Jun Takahashi gives us this first teaser image from the collection, which will release this Fall/Winter 2010.

Hybrids have, for better or worse, become a staple of the sneaker market. Thanks to Kixandthecity, we’ve got a look at the samples for the Nike Air Hoop Structure. As the name implies, the shoe is a basketball make up of the classic Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91. While the typical hybrid has crossed a two designs from a single type, this breaks a mold generating a basketball shoe from a runner. The sole has been modified, the heel counter raised, but at essence the Air Structure Triax sings through. Classic colors, like the above infrared, have also been employed.

A nice and solid Adidas ZX 9000 has arrived at Styles. The sneaker comes in a silver/beige colorway and especially the beige suede is giving it that extra bit of "lux". Even though the sneaker feature a lot of silver on the upper, it keeps an overall clean and not too noisy look.

Last week we gave you a first look at the Adidas Fall ‘08 ZX Craftmanship Pack and as of today they are available at Styles.
The pack consists of a ZX800, ZX7000 and a ZX9000. All three come in a mix of leather, suede and mesh on the upper in pale colors.

adidas will be releasing this week the ZX "Craftmanship" pack. It consists of a ZX 9000, ZX 800 and a ZX 7000. All three come in a mix of materials and colors and the outcome is definitely strong. The pack is part of the adidas Fall/Winter ‘08 collection.
Styles will have it in stock as of tomorrow, June 6th.

Recently we gave you a preview of the Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte III, also we previewed the upcoming Solebox x Lacoste Tennis 91. The Berlin sneaker store is not stopping. 
Today we come across first images of their upcoming collaboration with Reebok on the ERS 2000 running shoe. This time they chose a beige/orange colorway. The Solebox logo is embossed on the patent leather heel of the sneaker. Once again a nice choice of colors. Via The Clones.

The Nike NYC Bridge Runners held a run last night to commemorate the 125th birthday of the Brooklyn Bridge. About 100 runners showed up for the 4.8 mile route that went from Columbus Park in Chinatown over the bridge and finished at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. Running through heavy rain at times, it was a bridge run for only the most dedicated and included Mike Saes of the Bridge Runners, Craig Wetherby of Frank151 and photographer David Perez Shadi. Following the run was a bridge history lesson provided by the NYC Parks Department as well as Grimaldi’s pizza and a birthday cake. Nike also provided custom dry fit jerseys and commemorative patches. All photos by David Perez Shadi
