Earlier this month we sat down with legendary Wu-Tang Clan member RZA at the Bread & Butter Berlin tradeshow where he showcased the new WeSC Chambers by RZA headphones. In this episode of Highsnobiety TV we speak with RZA about the WeSC project and what each party brought to the table.

Announced earlier this month, we can present you the first product to result from a new collaboration between Swedish brand WeSC and Wu-Tang’s RZA.

Under the ‘Chambers by RZA’ name, the two are releasing a headphone collection, featuring a premium style and a street style. The headphone feature active noise cancellation technology, music sharing, and LED light accents. Both styles will release in a variety of colors in the near future. We will of course keep you posted.

WeSC has announced their upcoming collaboration with music artist RZA on a capsule collection of headphones for Spring/Summer 2012. Stay with us for a full feature in the coming weeks.

WeSC has released this first teaser image for their new collaboration with RZA, titled ‘Chambers by RZA.’ Little can be revealed at this point, but RZA will be with the WeSC crew at Bread & Butter Berlin in early July to show more. We’ll update you as we can.

“Nike 6.0’s latest video with the RZA is the funniest yet with the Abbot getting so hyped on Mason Aguirre that he is compelled to spit a freestyle. “It may look like it’s a party, but it’s not that easy!” Pretty much sums up Mason to a tee.”

Supreme worked with RZA on their recent Supreme Book Volume 5 and of course also used the occasion to talk to him. Supreme ended up doing several short spots with him on different topics. One spot you can already see here above, the others you just have to check out here.

Not sure how this escaped us until now. Wu-Tang’s GZA is back on Tuesday August 19th with his 5th solo set… or at least lead album, as there has been some debate as to if this is a solo. Titled, Pro Tools, the album follows the legendary Liquid Swords (his first album) and a great collaboration with DJ Muggs, among the obvious others. Nottz, MUGGS and RZA are on production. Sean Price and various members of the Wu aid on vocals. Amazon has previews of the album now. 

XLarge just recently made a t-shirt for the anime movie Afro Samurai. Here an idea of the plot of the movie:
“In a strange world of swords, guns and kimonos, cell phones and cybernetic body parts – a black samurai, Afro Samurai (Samuel L. Jackson), seeks revenge from a man named Justice (Ron Perlman) who killed his father and also happens to be the #1 fighter in the world.”
The soundtrack to the movie has been done by the RZA. Overall a good line-up of people involved. XLarge was asked to design a promotional t-shirt that will be used in Japan to promote the Afro Samurai mini series!
