Upper Playground in association with superFishal announces the launch of three new graphic skateboards created by artist, Jeremy Fish. Each season, superFishal will offer a series of screen printed decks in which each graphic is created through collaboration between Jeremy Fish and another artist. For the Spring/Summer collection, Jeremy collaborated with three of the most prominent names in the contemporary art world; Sam Flores, Matt Irving, and Travis Millard. The screen-printed decks will be a limited release of 300 for each design and will retail at $80. Upper Playground and superFishal are also offering the decks in a set of three for $210, with the first 100 sets being signed and numbered by Jeremy Fish.

Adidas and Upper Playground got together to work on a series of sneakers under the titel – “You Ain’t Got to Lie to Kick It”.
So far they have revealed three sneakers out of the collection. These have been designed by David Choe, Sam Flores and Aesop Rock. There will be one more to complete the series. That we will show you as soon as possible. There is no set release date so far, but we’ll keep you posted on the project.

The newest New Era release sees Upper Playground and their collaborators continuing an ambitious approach to the classic 59Fifty model; Sam Flores providing his signature characters in an all-over design, Craola celebrating Halloween in March with a UP bat, and Alex Pardee creating an all-over, multi-colored skull graphic to cover your dome. Each New Era retails at $45 and are now available at Upper Playground stores worldwide and at Upperplayground.com.

Ningyoushi toys in San Francisco, who made the Fatima toy, also has their own limited-edition colorway. Each style is limited to 300 pieces and features an elaborate dress pattern and a special bird headdress designed by Sam Flores. The blue dress will be available through Ningyoushi.com, and the purple dress is exclusively through Upper Playground.

Here we present you an entire range of new products that Upper Playground is putting out as part of their Fall 2007 collection. Not only do they continue to release artist designed New Era caps, the brand also moves stronger into houseware products.
Upper Playground has released a series of artist-designed pint glasses as part of its Fall 2007 housewares collection. Included is an Upper Playground SF design by Basco, a walrus-mug design by Jeremy Fish, a butterfly motif by Dora Drimalas and a dinosaur-costumed child illustrated by Sam Flores.
Upper Playground in association with Fifty24SF also announced the release of four, new, artist-designed mugs as part of its Fall 2007 line of houseware items. The mugs feature designs by the artists Grotesk, Sam Flores, and Jeremy Fish.
Last but not least they also announced the release of four New Era hats designed by the artists Dalek, Jeremy Fish, Dora Drimalas, and Brian Flynn.

Upper Playground is pleased to offer this sneak peek of shoes to be released as part of its Winter 2007 lineup. The “Skulls” slip on shoe was designed for Upper Playground by artist Alex Pardee. Pardee’s style involves bright colors and oddly-shaped characters in bizarre settings that give his pieces a circus sideshow feel. Pardee has worked with Warner Bros., Hurley International, and RIDE snowboards just to name a few. The “Faces” shoe was designed by artist, Sam Flores, whose style includes botanical elements, natural landscapes, and dreamy characters with large, folded hands. Flores’s work has been featured in such magazines as Mass Appeal, Juxtapoz, Urb and Wired. Both the “Skulls” shoe and the “Faces” shoes will retail for $60 and will be available Winter ‘07.

Upper Playground is offering a sneak peek at a new series of shirts designed by San Francisco artist, Sam Flores, for its Fall 07 collection. There will be two new designs for the Upper Playground line and three new designs as part of Sam Flores’s premium collection line, 12 Grain. Sam Flores’s signature style includes childlike characters in repose as well as his female Fatima figures with long gowns and large, folded hands set against exotic landscapes.
