Working under the alias Lydia Fong, Barry McGee’s latest work’s are part of the "A Moment for Reflection" exhibition now on view at San Francisco’s Ratio 3 gallery. Large scale wall pieces intermingle with tongue-in-cheek sculpture as the artist explores a variety of media and mediums. "A Moment for Reflection" will remain on view until October 16.

Sculptor Micheal Rea takes inspiration from an array of "geeky" things. Equipped with an amazing knowledge of Geek culture and a quirky sense of humor, his work spoofs and pays homage to video games, movies and more. His work will be shown at San Francisco’s Fecal Face Gallery come October, but Wired allows us a preview. Above is his "Instruments" which stems from pseudo-musical performances he and friends put on in Chicago.

The Hundreds released over the weekend their “Player” Snap-Backs. They made two colorways for the San Francisco store and two for the Los Angeles store. Each cap comes with “The Hundreds” and the respective city embroidered on the front, “Huge” on the back and “Adam The Bomb” on the side. Each cap is limited to 50 pieces.

Rumors had been floating around for months and then a few weeks ago the opening of a new San Francisco flagship store was finally announced by The Hundreds. The store opened its doors today. We are actually quite surprised by the interior design of the store, which is less simplistic than their first store in Los Angeles. But what they both have in common, is the overall dark atmosphere.

This Thursday, as reported earlier by us, The Hundreds will be opening their second flagship store, after LA, now in San Francisco. For the occasion the brand has made lots of special product.
They got together with Benny Gold and hip-hop collective Hierolyphics on t-shirts. Also they made special New Era caps, t-shirts that will only be available at the new San Francisco location, mostly playing with the new address of the store. Futhermore they collaborated with the Lovewright Company, Irons Situationcontrol, La Taquiza, Kelis and Foreign Family on t-shirts which will drop at both store locations this Thursday.

Rumors have been floating around for a while now, but certain hints just made it obvious. Those of you that have the latest issue of Antenna Magazine at home, make sure to check out The Hundreds ad in there. It’s a pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge and just the Adam The Bomb logo in the bottom right corner.
Now they have posted some pictures of the store build-out on their site, including the pic that we show you above. Sutter Street is the street in San Francisco that houses all the Huf stores. Expect the new The Hundreds store to pop up there as well in the next month.

Shikito, the streetwear icon from BSHIT, returns with this special limited-run edition with FTC Skate, one of the pre-eminent skateboarding shops in San Francisco. Featuring FTC’s colors, the FTC Skate edition Shikito is limited to 100 pieces and is available in late February at a handful of retailers.

FTC, the iconic San Francisco skateshop, that recently also opened their first store in Japan, presents its Fall 2007 collection. This time they go far beyond t-shirts and present a small, but strong line-up of cut & sew pieces. You can find an M-65 jacket, hoodie, crewneck sweater, plaid shirts and New Era caps in the line. All pieces feature extensive embroideries, patches or other kinds of customizations. The stand-out piece is probably the FTC x LRG Letterman Jacket, which comes in extremely limited quantities.

Messenger bags are all over the place these days. Sometimes it might seem to be getting boring, but on the other site, just like with New Era caps people have to get more creative in order to stick out in the mass of releases.
Here you see the latest Benny Gold creations for Timbuk2, one of the classic bike messenger bag suppliers out of San Francisco. He created for them the “Chain Plaid” pattern, which is as you could have guessed, the mix of classic plaid and a bike chain. Turns out to be looking pretty good. The bags come in different sizes and colorways and will be released this coming Thursday at the Timbuk2 flagship store in San Francisco.

Upper Playground announces the premier release of an umbrella as part of the Fall 2007 collection. The umbrella features the signature Upper Playground Walrus design on an orange background with alternating black panels. At forty inches in diameter it’s bound to keep a raindrop or two away. The umbrella will retail for $25.
It’s nice seeing Upper Playground also going into the more unusual, but practical, accessories.

Huf just released the Factory Team collection. It consists of t-shirts and matching mesh caps. The t-shirts feature a big star print and the a big Huf on the front and come in four colorways. The mesh caps also feature a star print and a big “H” on the front and also come in four colorways.

Upper Playground announced the release of three new New Era pro fitted caps. The hats feature a new all-over, ornate burgundy on beige leaf design by Jeremy Fish (San Francisco), “Wallmask” by Sam Flores (San Francisco), and a new signature logo hat. Each hat is being released in a small specialty run batches.
They will also be releasing for the first time soccer balls. The first run has been designed by Herbert Baglione (Sao Paolo) and Sam Flores (SanFrancisco). In broadening Upper Playground’s collection of home and lifestyle items, the brand collaborated with the artists to individually design a soccer ball with their own iconic style. The soccer balls will retail for $80 each.

We have seen Ari Marcopoulus collaborate with Supreme before and now the photographer gets together with Huf for a New Era cap.
The photographer has worked with Warhol, Basquiat at the early stage of his career and is also known for taking pictures of Fab 5 Freddy, Run DMC and some of you might know his work from the Beastie Boys Cover of Ill Communication. As you can see, a very interesting and talented artist.
This is for sure something to look out for. No release date has been announced so far, but we will keep you posted.
