As usual Japanese brand Neighborhood has some interesting product collaborations in the pipeline. This season they worked on special footwear projects with both Loake and with Island Slipper. With Loake they present a low top loafer in brown suede with tassels and some other nice details. With Island Slipper they of course worked on a sandal and concentrated on the graphic elements of the otherwise simple and classic silhouette.

Nike Sportswear has collaborated with Japanese artist Tomokazu Matsuyama on a couple of items. The collaboration includes the Hooded Sports Main Coat and the Tekapu Slide Premium sandal. The coat come with a Gore-Tex shell and removable hood. A small graphic by the artist is placed on the lining. The sandals come in all black with a small detail on the in-sole and graphics by the artist on the outer sole. Both pieces will be released April 24th.

The Palm Springs Ace Hotel teams with sandal maker Havaianas on a set of flip-flops. The sandals go for 22$US as part of the in room mini-bar offering and are also available online at Havaianas US shop.

German label Birki’s (a sub label of Birkenstock that’s not Tatami) partnered with Japan’s nonnative on an interesting sandal for Spring/Summer 2010. The shoes feature a ponyhair T-Strap design with traditional cork foot bed. Available at nonnative accounts for April 10th.

After showing most of the collaborative collection between Stussy Deluxe and Reyn Spooner the other day, we can add the collaborative Tatami Philica sandal to the mix today. The sandal comes in a green/black colorway, featuring the same pattern as the other items of the line. Look out for a release with the rest of the items some time in April.

Japanese Birkenstock affiliate Tatami collaborates with Futura on a black leather/suede Zurich Sandal, embossed with Futura’s signature “Marker” graphic. Classic Tatami outsole, which features 30% more cork than traditional Birks. Coming in mid-April to FL Shop.

The visvim Christo sandal has been released as a FIL exclusive in three Hickory colorways. They come in black and two grey tones and are now available from Cliff Edge.

The sandal by Nike Sportswear, Tekapo Slide, that was introduced last season, returns for Spring/Summer 2010 in two camo colorways. The sandals are now in stock at NOS.

Quite unexpected Jeremy Scott also worked for Spring/Summer 2010 on the infamous adidas adilette sandals. The adilette has been around forever and has certainly become a classic over the years. The designer gave it a black/white look with a dropping adidas Originals logo on the top. Simple? For sure. But we nevertheless declare this as the most interesting addition to the new collection. It is now available at colette.

The visvim Christo sandal has been released featuring a hickory upper. The sandal looks solid with its stripe upper and is now available from Bobos.
