Upper Playground is opening a new storefront in Seattle’s University District. The new store marks the second Upper Playground retail establishment in the Pacific Northwest after the 2006 opening of Upper Playground Portland and fine art gallery FIFTY24PDX. In celebration of the new store, there will be a variety of events held the weekend of September 19th including live art installations and an in-store appearance by photographer/director Estevan Oriol. Oriol will be signing advance copies of his 2009 calendar and items from his Estevan Oriol sub-line.

New Seattle specific Upper Playground product will also be available. Check for that after the jump.

Named for the Seattle fixed gear night started by Dustin Klein of Cadence Clothing, Fast Friday chronicles a year of the cities cycle scene. The documentary was directed by David Rowe and shows how track bike culture moves in the hilly, windy and rainy town.Touring with the Bicycle Film Festival, Fast Friday is also available online at the film’s site. PUMA and No Mas have been teaming up in 2008 with releases of the PUMA X No Mas First Round LA and LE (Boston) to further celebrate last year’s exhibition of “The Lottery”. This month, the PUMA First Round is inspired by the city of Seattle.

Highlights of the PUMA x No Mas First Round Seattle include a green and yellow colorway with a white on white leather with embroidered lottery balls, three sets of laces with “No Mas” branding on the lace tips and the outsole.

A very limited number of pairs will drop exclusively at GOODS Seattle on Wednesday, April 30th.

Just yesterday we presented to you the Goods Spring ‘08 collection. Just like every year the store celebrates its anniversary with a Stussy collaboration. But we certainly did not expect a Stussy Deluxe collaboration.
GOODS is celebrating its 5 year anniversary this month raising the bar with limited collaboration products from Stussy Deluxe. The exclusive Japanese gingham fabric is the theme for the line which includes a French terry fleece with gingham side panel (2 colors), M-65 gingham jacket, two tees, a white gingham new era, a black gingham new era and a skateboard deck. The party is April 25th at the War Room in Seattle with Peanut Butter Wolf with the release of the GOODS X Stussy Deluxe collection the following day April 26th in store only at GOODS and online only at www.stussydeluxe.com. We are impressed, but at the same time we did not expect anything else from the Goods people.

Manik is a skateboard brand delivered by the guys behind the Goods store straight out of Seattle. The brand keeps a stylish and clean profile and is sold only through selected shops – Cali Skat Dep. is one of those stores. This is the S.King line with hand sketched boards that feature some segments seen in the Chinatown districts of Seattle. This is a series of five, and if you lay them next to each other you’ll see the full graphic/neighborhood.
Once again a strong art deck series by one of the most premium skate brands on the market.

Out of their archives from 1971, Puma presents the Basket 70’s series, which pays homage to city’s that won the NBA championships during the 1970’s.
” This shoe is based around the inspiring win from the Super Sonics, who ripped up the court to win their first winning season (47-35). Utilising the team colours of green, yellow and white and featuring the Seattle skyline as used on the Super Sonics logo, this Basket will be joined by a host of other champions, which Puma is yet to drop.” Via Sneaker Freaker.

Last week Rogue Status and Goods Seattle teamed up for a party. Of course they made a t-shirt for the occasion. They kept it simple and clean, carrying both logos. If you are lucky, Goods has some left!

Goods has always been known for strong collections for their in-store line. We recently presented to you the lookbook of the collection and they are getting stronger every season. Their products are all produced in Japan, which stands for better quality and more attention to detail.
They also have a nice range of accessories as part of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Aside from the New Era caps we already presented to you, they have one of the strongest Madras caps we have seen all year. It’s one of those things that one would think are hard to get wrong. But if you see the Goods x New Era Madras cap you can feel a difference in quality, since they sourced it themselves. Other than new New Era caps they also offer two styles of beanies in several colorways and a scarf.

Here at HighSnobiety we are big fans of the subtle, high quality collections by Goods Seattle. A few months ago they launched an online store, so finally peeople could get their hands on some of the collection.
