Japanese sneaker retailer atmos gets together with toy store Secret Base to collaborate on the New Balance M996. Art directed by Secret Base, they chose the tiger design of US tattoo artist Chris Trevino on the sneaker, with the largest graphic being placed on the insole and the upper also featuring lots of tiger stripe details. Look out for a release of the sneaker in November 2010.

Japanese toy maker Secret Base has released three new figures from its “Next Level” Collection. The little skull figures are made with great detail and even with hair, something one does not see too often in the designer toy world. Via Warp.

In celebration of Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary, Sanrio has enlisted a widespread range of brands to work on collaborative releases. We’ve already seen pieces from the likes of Stussy and Dr. Romanelli – and now we’re bringing things back to Japan with Secret Base’s take on their homegrown hero. Though well suited for Halloween, this is scheduled for a December release. Pre-order now at Armth.

Ron English’s iconic Ronald McDonald inspired character gets the X-Ray treatment with the help of Japan’s Secret Base. The translucent orange exterior figure houses a glow in the dark inner skeleton and comes packaged in a Popaganda-labeled french fry box. I guess maybe he’s just big-boned? Now available at Armth.

If you were excited about the ‘Gangway Ye Crowsnest’ colorup of Pushead’s Skull Captain, here’s another SDCC 2009 Exclusive to cause open mouth lockjaw. Rumored to be made of leftover Secret Base orange glow vinyl, this Skull Captain glows bright, with a full left arm and a hook right hand. Super limited, like prototype production numbers. Be on the look out for these commanding ship at the Pushead event at SDCC this Thursday.

Japanese toy brand Secret Base and artist Usugrow worked on a new toy, entitled “The Salvation Ink”. The skull angel comes in a black and a white version and has been released this week in Japan. Overall a simple, yet strong character.

The Secret Base x Usugrow “The Salvation Ink” figures are now available at Bobos.

Mishka NYC got together with Japan’s Secret Base to collaborate on a t-shirt. The t-shirt is now available in the Mishka NYC online store.

“We took Secret Base’s Skull Bee logo and put a nice little twist on it adding some elements of our own favorite icons, the Bear Mop and the Simon head, thus creating a new monster of which has just risen from our often sinister laboratory… The Cyco Skull Bee!”

You can also purchase it at Rotofugi, Ultrapop, Super 7, Lulubelle and Toy Tokyo.

Japanese toy manufacturer Secretbase and store Chapter World have worked together to create the Chapter Kun Figure, the first vinyl toy for the shop. It comes in an orange colorway, with a large "C" on the front and is packaged in a sneaker box.

You can expect many new items to come with the figure soon.

Super7 has joined up with Secret Base to create some bad juju — an Red and Yellow Voodoo Bagman.  This one features a red voodoo plush inserted in the clear rotocast body with yellow and black sprays.
It was released over the weekend at the Super7 store in San Francisco as well as in their online store.

Japanese artist Usugrow worked on a new version of his Rebel Ink toy together with Secret Base. This time it comes in a glow-in-the-dark version. The release is not far away, so keep your eyes open. Via Glltn.
