The latest issue of Vapors Magazine has been released. The cover story features the late photographer Shawn Mortensen. The article is a tribute to the artist and features quotes by some of his closest friends in the industry. Only for that, the issue is already worth reading. The Undefeated Billboard has been updated and now features an images of photographer Shawn Mortensen, who recently passed away. A nice gesture from the Undefeated team!

French Clark Magazine goes from one strength to the next and presents their upcoming issue 36, which features cover art by Barry McGee. Other highlights of the issue include one of the very last interviews with photographer Shawn Mortensen (RIP), Casio G-Shock artwork done exclusively by André for Clark Magazine, Kehinde Wiley, Eric Dressen, Al Moran from O.H.W.O.W. and much more.

The new issue will be available at French news stands from tomorrow and for the first time can also be purchased online on their new website.

We just reported a couple of days ago about the relaunch of the website of photographer Shawn Mortensen. Today we came across a new video episode of RockersNYC TV and the guys got together with the photographer. As usual an interesting watch and something you should not miss out on.

Photographer Shawn Mortensen has launched his new website. Most of you should be familiar with his work from collaborations with FUCT and Supreme. The site shows his latest projects, a long list of impressive works.

FUCT once again gets together with photographer Shawn Mortensen and this time used a picture of Aria Giovanni, which was made for Dave Naz’s book “Panties”. The t-shirt comes in a black and a white colorway.
These will be released very soon.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection, Sound & Fury, Rockers NYC has worked on an artist seriss. The Sound & Fury Artist Series features the “Wardance” tee, a collabo with photographer Shawn Mortensen, and the “Youth vs. Youth” tee, a collabo with artist and musician, Brian DeGraw.
RockersNYC have worked with the world-renowned photographer, Shawn Mortensen, on the epic tee, Wardance. In 1991, a war was waged on the Jamaican dancehall battlefield. Two artists, Super Cat, aka Don Dada, and Ninja Man, aka Don Gargon, clashed at Sting in Kingston in a historical battle, captured by Shawn Mortensen on one of his many travels.
RockersNYC also had the honor of producing a tee using Brian DeGraw’s multimedia piece “The Youth of Today” (2006). This piece features two albums of the same name by two very different, but equally influential, groups – Musical Youth, an English reggae group, and The Youth of Today, an American hardcore band. As a work of art, and a tee, “the piece suggests that beneath heterogeneous surfaces and commercial artifices there is a universality of artistic ambition transcending class, borders, genres, and disciplines.”

FUCT continues working with L.A. based photographer, Shawn Mortensen, with two more additional T-shirts.
The first, will be a photograph taken in the early 90’s of Super model Kate Moss. Shawn captured this image of Kate during the Vivienne Westwood show. The photo depicts the model adorned in Westwood leopard print hat and furs with gold safety pin in her cheek.
For Japan and limited European outlets FUCT will release  Mortensen’s infamous photograph of Ice Cube, also taken in the early 90’s. The photo depicts the rapper reading the controversial book by Dick Gregory. This item will be  very limited in production. Both Mortensen t-shirts will be released in Black & white colorways.

Photographer Shawn Mortensen will soon be coming out with his new book, Out Of Mind, and to coincide with the release, FUCT will be putting out two t-shirts. Shawn Mortensen has photographed some of our generations greatest performers. The two t-shirts that FUCT will be releasing feature pictures of Snoop Dogg and The Nororious B.I.G. from the early 90’s.
The Hundreds will hold an exhibition of the artists work beginning of November. The FUCT t-shirts will be released 1rst of October at selected FUCT retailers. Via Hypebeast.
