Band of Outsiders has gotten together with famed surf photographer LeRoy Grannis. Born in Hermosa Beach, the photographer has documented the surf scene since the early 60s. Later on in his life, his work has not only been shown in the most respected surf magazines, but also in art galleries.

Some of his most beautiful images are now being featured on a special series of Band of Outsiders polo shirts. colette (storeguide) among others, will be getting them in very soon.

In an interesting new collaboration, Canadian retailer Haven has teamed up with Reigning Champ. Better known for their sweaters, Haven chose to work with Reigning Champ on a series of raglan cut button down shirts. Included are 3 styles, each coming in two colorways, with lots of nice details.

“High quality Japanese fabrics are used such as selvedge pin point oxford and mini gingham checks, triple needle stitch side seams for extra sturdiness, contrast stitched underarm eyelets for extra breathability and a unique raglan style sleeve that is rarely seen on the button down shirt for maximum range of motion. We also added subtle branding in the form of custom Milspec style woven labels near the hem. Best of all, they are built Canadian tough on home soil in beautiful British Columbia.”

An interesting new shirt has released from the Billionaire Boys Club Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. From the Space Beach series the brand presents a white oxford shirt with large tiger print both on the front and back. As usual the brand takes things a little less serious than others.

While the more out-there pieces are usually reserved for the Billionaire Boys Club side of things, Ice Cream gets their turn in spotlight this weekend with one of their most interesting apparel releases of late. Today our favorite piece from the on-going collaboration between Levi’s Japan and Tommy Guerrero has been released. The mexican patterns that were placed on denim pants and jackets before, have now found their way onto flannel shirts. The shirts come in off-white, black and brown, featuring special shoulder patches and buttons. All in all some really nice shirts.

For Spring 2011, Opening Ceremony (storeguide) has once again teamed up with Gitman Brothers to bring a new modern take to the traditional shirt maker. “Featuring quilted chambray, micro box dots, and rich cheetah prints, this season brings a celebratory touch to those All-American, perfect-fit buttondowns you know and love.”

Today we get a first look at the upcoming collaboration between Japanese brand Deluxe and Hong Kong brand Deluxe. We preview the western shirt from the collaboration, mixing the design of Deluxe with details added by CLOT. For more background on the collaboration you have to wait a little longer.

DQM has released some new product from their in-house line, including the Gunnison Wool Shirt in two colorways and a new heavy duty work pant in three colorways. Both styles are now available at DQM in store and online.

It seems to be the day of collaborations, especially in Japan. For the new year everybody is getting together with everybody. Here now a look at the White Collection by Neighborhood and fragment design. They stick to staple items and present white t-shirts and white shirts, all coming with washed out font based prints. This coming weekend Sophnet will release some first items from their new Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The release includes a nice selection of shirts, with matching bow ties to each shirt also on offer.
