Today we get a first look at the collaboration between Pharrell Williams’ Billionaire Boys Club and Mark McNairy from New York. Of course McNairy was heavily inspired by vintage Americana and presents a nice capsule collection in collaboration with the streetwear brand with a few very strong signature pieces.

“The line of luxury gear was born out of a conversation Williams and McNairy had over a possible boot collaboration that turned into a full capsule collection. Even the collection’s name, Bee Line, has noble ties as Williams was inspired by Napoleon’s decision to replace fleur-de-lis with the insect as France’s royal symbol. Most categories of menswear are covered in the assortment, from outerwear to boots, and all of the gear is made in the USA save for the sweaters woven in Scottish mills.”

This week visvim has released several new footwear styles from its Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. While most recent releases were boots, the ones coming out this week are part of the sneaker category.

The Logan Deck Lo is a simple Era-style low top sneaker. It will come in a beautiful dark indigo option with red outersole and alternative colorways. Furthermore visvim will drop the Jaipur Hi Denim, a Chuck Taylor style silhouette and the Flynt Hi Sashiko, which is an interesting mid top sneaker. Expect all of them to come in a series of colors later this week at visvim retailers.

From the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present a nice new shoe. While looking rather simple and classic at first, the black leather lace-up comes with a metal heel piece on the mid-sole, resulting in an interesting accent and totally new look. There’s no doubt that you have seen your fair share of news pertaining to the Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip, but for good reason: it’s a very interesting piece of footwear, whether you like them or not. This time around, we present to you a few more colors that were not shown in our previous post in regards to these shoes. We recall in December or 2010 when Nike Sportswear’s Jarrett Reynolds wore a saddle shoe that featured a lunar outsole, so it was no surprise seeing the popular sole unit make its way onto a dressier style of shoe. In case you missed the release info, these drop on February 10 at Cole Haan SoHo, 128 Prince Street, New York for $248.

Check out this interesting take on the classic Clarks Wallabees. This Wallabee Race shoe is a slip on version of the popular shoe. Here we see it available in two great colors: sand and macara. The shoes are comprised of a rich suede and they feature a crepe sole based with natural latex for grip. These are available now at the Clarks.

Previewed a while ago, the time has finally come – soon the collaboration between uniform experiment and Clarks Originals on the iconic Wallabee will hit retailers. For Spring/Summer 2012, SOPHNET once again teamed up with visvim on some footwear. This season they present the Logan Canvas VD in three colorways and the Americana Deck VD in several colors. Both feature premium leathers and canvas on the upper and as usual we like a lot what SOPHNET does on visvim silhouettes, adding more regular outer soles to the shoes.

Oi Polloi was bestowed with a wonderful opportunity to work with Clarks on these Wallabees. The UK-based retailer thought long and hard about how to rework such a classic shoe and their solution was to use “Unicorn Leather.” By the name “Unicorn Leather”, they mean this:

the name given to elk hides by the specialist tannery tasked with producing the raw materials.

The end result of the utilization of this leather is 2 superb Wallabees in Dijon and Wasabi colors. Both colors are fantastic for Spring/Summer and look to be a must buy. If you feel the same way, head over to Oi Polloi’s web store to pick these up.

Today we take a closer look at the much talked about Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip. The Nike Lunar outer sole has become very popular over the last year and we all know what has happened with the classic Wingtip Brogue ever since the heritage trend really hit us. Putting the two together seems like the right next thing to do.

Our opinions are split on t he shoe. Never having been a big fan of hybrids, we do understand the thinking and even the ideas behind the new silhouette – offering a classic, yet comfortable, shoe with a nice twist. Only time will tell how successful the shoe will end up being. Cole Haan being owned by Nike, it is interesting seeing their sharing of technology across the board. We have seen it with AIR before and now Lunar is next.

Priced at 248 USD, the Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip shoe will come in overall 5 colorways, exclusively at the Cole Haan New York store from February 10th, 2012.

Dr. Martens has released their Spring/Summer 2012 collection and here is a look at some of the highlights from it. A really broad range is offered in both lows and highs. Highlights for us include the 1461 low in tonal red, purple and black, as well as some of the more polished styles like the Chester and Caine. Take a look for yourself, but also check the video below from Dr. Martens’ campaign for this season.

The popular visvim Patrician WT Folk shoe returns with the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Featuring an Italian vegetable tanned lama hide upper, the hand painted finish of the shoe is certainly the stand-out feature. Dior Homme presents a fashionable, yet rugged, two-tone boot offering for this Spring/Summer 2012 season. The predominantly black brogue-style boots are comprised of calfskin and they feature an indented rubber platform sole that resembles a serrated blade. Earlier, we showed you a very nice 5 hole deck shoe from hobo for Spring/Summer 2012, but the brand has a few more tricks up their sleeves with a couple of other great styles from Caminando. The two have worked together in the past and the result was on point, as it is here. Although both are very nice, the Straight Tip Rubber shoes in black and brown leather definitely are the prize here.

From Pitti, here is a nice look at Mark McNairy’s Autumn/Winter 2012 footwear collection. Always one for unique design details, McNairy continues to tinker with the shoe’s sole (McNairy fans surely remember the “Fuck Off” soles we have shown you in the past) unit with the addition of a “Smiley Face.” We also see more camo infused offerings in the mix, tri-toned brogue boots and other great stuff.
