Previewed a while ago, the time has finally come – soon the collaboration between uniform experiment and Clarks Originals on the iconic Wallabee will hit retailers. The mid top boot comes in beige and navy suede options, featuring a uniform experiment logo placed on the heel and on a special hangtag. Look out for a drop very soon.

For Spring/Summer 2012, SOPHNET once again teamed up with visvim on some footwear. This season they present the Logan Canvas VD in three colorways and the Americana Deck VD in several colors. Both feature premium leathers and canvas on the upper and as usual we like a lot what SOPHNET does on visvim silhouettes, adding more regular outer soles to the shoes.

Oi Polloi was bestowed with a wonderful opportunity to work with Clarks on these Wallabees. The UK-based retailer thought long and hard about how to rework such a classic shoe and their solution was to use “Unicorn Leather.” By the name “Unicorn Leather”, they mean this:

the name given to elk hides by the specialist tannery tasked with producing the raw materials.

The end result of the utilization of this leather is 2 superb Wallabees in Dijon and Wasabi colors. Both colors are fantastic for Spring/Summer and look to be a must buy. If you feel the same way, head over to Oi Polloi’s web store to pick these up.

Today we take a closer look at the much talked about Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip. The Nike Lunar outer sole has become very popular over the last year and we all know what has happened with the classic Wingtip Brogue ever since the heritage trend really hit us. Putting the two together seems like the right next thing to do.

Our opinions are split on t he shoe. Never having been a big fan of hybrids, we do understand the thinking and even the ideas behind the new silhouette – offering a classic, yet comfortable, shoe with a nice twist. Only time will tell how successful the shoe will end up being. Cole Haan being owned by Nike, it is interesting seeing their sharing of technology across the board. We have seen it with AIR before and now Lunar is next.

Priced at 248 USD, the Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip shoe will come in overall 5 colorways, exclusively at the Cole Haan New York store from February 10th, 2012.

Dr. Martens has released their Spring/Summer 2012 collection and here is a look at some of the highlights from it. A really broad range is offered in both lows and highs. Highlights for us include the 1461 low in tonal red, purple and black, as well as some of the more polished styles like the Chester and Caine. Take a look for yourself, but also check the video below from Dr. Martens’ campaign for this season.

From the new Undercover Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present the ‘Fuck The Past, Fuck The Future’ lace-up shoes. Overall a rather simple and classic leather lace-up, the Japanese brand infuses their own personal twist with embroideries on the upper. The shoes come in black and dark navy and are now available from Undercover.

Common Projects keeps doing their thing well into Spring/Summer 2012. One of our favorites in the all-navy suede chukka boot seen above. Other highlights include all-black Achilles, fresh Officer’s Derbys and Rec Shoes and Shell-Toes in rich leathers, all of which can be seen in our gallery. Mark McNairy has certainly made the rounds when it comes to collaborations. The highly in demand designer appears to have added New Era to that extensive list of footwear partners as images of these Derby shoes with the cap maker’s logo from Pitti Uomo have hit the web. The popular visvim Patrician WT Folk shoe returns with the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Featuring an Italian vegetable tanned lama hide upper, the hand painted finish of the shoe is certainly the stand-out feature. Coming in overall 4 colorways this season, these should be coming to retailers any day now.

Dior Homme presents a fashionable, yet rugged, two-tone boot offering for this Spring/Summer 2012 season. The predominantly black brogue-style boots are comprised of calfskin and they feature an indented rubber platform sole that resembles a serrated blade. These boots are currently available at retailers such as colette.
