Once again Beams gets together with Dickies to collaborate on some shorts. The 874 shorts come in grey and in beige and feature neon zippers on the back. The zippers give the shorts a more relaxed or a more fitted look. We are not really convinced of the concept, but the color accents definitely give the shorts a new look.

Alife worked together with Dickies on the Alife Workwear by Dickies Collection. The line consists of shirts, jackets, shorts and of course chinos. Offered in the original Dickies Khaki and Navy colorways, the collection will be available this Saturday, August 22nd at all ALIFE flagship locations in New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Tokyo; but also in London and Paris at Dover Street Market and Colette, respectively.

New from Levi’s Fenom are these Chino Short Trousers. The chinos are cut off and feature a tonal Fenom logo next to the pocket. Overall the shorts are pretty basic. We like the hidden zip pocket feature. The shorts are now available at e-Levi in a series of colorways.

UNDRCRWN hit us up with a couple new shorts styles to finish off the Summer season. Notorious B.I.G, who is often remembered for his signature 90s style, was the inspiration behind the sublimated poly Bedstuy Short. Second is a wool cargo short featuring wooden buttons. From the new BBC/Ice Cream Fall/Winter 2009 Collection comes the Digi Camo Pack. The pack consists of shorts, a gadget pouch, as well as a hat. All three pieces feature a pixelated camouflage design all-over and are now available at BBC retailers around the globe.

Since we were just talking about Japan’s current excitement about Dickies, we show you another new collaboration. Beams once again gets together with the US brand and this time worked on a series of madras shorts. Overall they present three shorts in the series and they are available now here.

We get a first look at some new shorts coming from Levi’s Fenom. The shorts come in three colorways and feature frayed edges. The Levi’s Fenom logo comes as a tonal embroidery next to the pockets. Overall the shorts keep a classic look. You can expect a release in the near future.

Billabong has developed an exclusive fabric called Eco-Supreme Suede, a recycled and recyclable pure polyester fiber material with superior quality, function and performance made from recycled textiles and plastic soda bottles. This helps lessen our dependence on oil, reduces toxic emissions from incinerators, and conserve resources. This contributes in less contamination, cleaner air, soil and water.

The surf brand got together with Washington boutique Commonwealth to collaborate on the Recycler Series board shorts, using the fabric described above. The tiger stripe camouflage pattern, also called Cmonflauge, came out really nice and not too strong. We also like a lot the branding, including tags and patches on the shorts. About 10 recycled 12oz. plastic bottles are used per short. Look out for a release soon, exclusively at Commonwealth and Commonwealth.com.
