After having presented the new Silas Medicom Bearbricks over the weekend, we preview their new Summer 2011 Collection today. Next to an overall solid line-up of clothing, they present collaborative pants with Dickies and sneakers with Vans. The new Silas Summer 2011 Collection is arriving in stores in the next couple of weeks.

Medicom Toy got together with Silas to produce two 100% Bearbricks for Summer 2011. As the brand, which was originally founded in the UK, then purchased by a Japanese company, leaving the UK, moved back into the UK market with their clothing this past season, the Union Jack branding makes sense. The Bearbrick comes in two colorways and will be released April 2011.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Silas got together with Sugpak. They worked on a 35 liter mountain backpack. It comes in a khaki and a black colorway, featuring both logos on the upper.

Though founded in the UK, SILAS has been hard to find (outside of Japan) in recent years due to a Japanese acquisition. As previously announced, this month marked the return to their homeland, with an all new London flagship store at 8 Shillingford Street. We can’t confirm whether the looks seen here are European exclusives, but either way this new Spring 2011 lookbook is classic SILAS. The Sanders shoes are a key highlight.

Silas has worked with English shoe maker Sanders on two silhouettes for their Spring 2011 Collection. The collaboration includes the Wing Brogue with Crepe sole and the Derby Shoe with red brick sole. Both shoes will be released at Silas retailers in March 2011.

The story of Silas is definitely not straight forward. Founded in London, the brand was bought a couple of years ago by a Japanese company. Ever since the buy out, the collection is more or less disappeared from the European market, and in Japan new Silas stores opened left and right. Now the brand announces a special European line for 2011 and also the opening of a London flagship store. We cannot wait to see it all and welcome them back!

We take a look at the new Silas Holiday 2010 Collection and we are actually pleased. It looks much better than what we have seen in previous seasons. Some solid parkas, jackets, and just overall good looks paired with some nice English footwear and accessories.

Silas gets together with UK brand Sanders on two shoes for their Spring 2011 Collection. The collaboration includes the Derby in a light beige colorway and a Wing Brogue in a dark brown colorway. Both feature the Silas logo embossed on the heel and collaborative branding on the in-sole.

Silas presents their Fall 2010 Collection. Even though there were times when the label still excited us more that it currently does, it is still worth having a look at, as they always have some solid pieces in their collection, that are easy to pull off and match up with the rest of your wardrobe.

Silas has gotten together with George Cox to work on a Saddle Ox Shoe for their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. They present two colorways of the shoe, both featuring suede uppers with wingtip accents and the Silas logo embossed on the heel. The shoes are now available from Calif.
