Magical Design is founded by Hideo Uchiyama, a well-known tattooist in Tokyo. He insists on all items being hand-made and the label has since been celebrated, counting WTAPS, Number (N)ine and Under Cover as some of the clients. In 2009, Magical Design has produced the ‘Valentine’s Pendants Necklace’ for SILLY THING based on the idea of lovers. The result is a necklace with diamante skull pendants, romantic yet mysterious. Proposed by Silly Thing, it is a fresh approach for Magical Design.

The necklace is now available in Hong Kong at the Think Silly Store.

Silly Thing got together with jewelry brand Magical Design to produce the “Frankenstein” rings. The rings come in black silver, with one eye featuring a rhinestone. Via TK.

We present you the new Silly Thing Collection, entitled “The New Gentlemen’s Code”. The collection does not operate within seasons and will be released over the next couple of weeks.

We think that Silly Thing hit exactly the right nerve with the collection. It’s not too casual, not too dressy and perfectly mixes different styles in the collection. Modern menswear is supposed to be like this in our opinion. Silly Thing mostly works with dark colors in the line and introduces classic jackets with technical features, varsity jackets, some great knitwear and solid shirts. Also the accessories line-up is strong, consisting of bags, glasses, hats and more. We imagine that Kanye West’s Pastelle will go in a similar direction concerning the mix of different styles, but more colorful.

We have shown you pictures of the new Medicom x Silly Thing The Beatles “Can’t Buy Me Love” 1000% Kubrick Set a while ago. Now they have finally released them. A special order page has been created. We just came across the Teddy Bear Lamp by Silly Thing. A great piece. Instead of the head, it features a lamp. The cover comes in black.

Not for the first time Korean artist Kim Songhe works together with Hong Kong’s Silly Thing. Her work has been displayed at premier stores and department stores around the globe, including Japan’s Loveless.

Today we present you her most recent work for the Silly Thing Toy Division. As part of the collaboration, Kim Songhe produced the “Kim’s Couplet” series. Entirely handmade, each one of the toys also functions as a pencil stand.

The Kim Songhe “Kim’s Couplet” toys will be available at the Silly Thing store in Hong Kong in limited quantities before the end of December.

Silly Thing will soon introduce the Camouflage Mountain Parka. This is the first time that the Hong Kong based brand makes use of camouflage and as usual they take a different route than most other brands. The pattern is very subtle, yet attention seeking. Also Silly Thing continues to innovate, which is reflected in a high density nylon upper and Thinsulate lining in the jacket. Furthermore they introduce a new velcro strap system in the jacket, that is softer than regular velcro, making the jacket more comfortable, and it also does not destroy your knitwear anymore.
