Sixpack France Autumn Winter 2010 Lookbook

Following the teaser videos, Orgone Project and Artist Series tees, we can now give you a look into the lookbook for Sixpack France’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, “Synesthesie.” The following is an excerpt from Sixpack France’s introduction that explains their inspirations and moods.

Evil is one of the primary instincts of the human heart.
We advised you that we were about to break through its very substance – here we are. The explorations of endless desert landscapes are behind us: here comes the time to sink into our deepest and darkest fantasies.
The loneliness of inner space as another form of vastness. An itinerary similar to the one of Rimbaud, but backwards.

We don’t intend to commit suicide in the gothic tradition, but we claim it’s time to draw a line under ease and superficiality.
To get rid of that self-indulgent regurgitation of the same obvious references, over and over again.
We’re tired of the predictable revivals, of the stale and unimaginative recycling.

Have a look at the full collection after the click.

As part of their SS10 “Peyote Poem” collection, Sixpack France worked with designer Uncle Geez on a series of Neil Young tribute tees. “While immerging ourselves into the line, we used to listen to those amazing records that are Harvest, Zuma, or Rust Never Sleep…Arc Weld and On the Beach! The idea of this series was to create merchandising-like t-shirts that could have been bought at a Neil Young’s show or in a music store.” Now available online.

Sixpack France x Joe Misurelli x Polaroid Collection

Sixpack France x Joe Misurelli x Polaroid Collection

Sixpack France presents a new collaborative collection with artist Joe Misrelli and Polaroid. The line consists of three pop-abstract polaroids printed on two white tee shirts and a black one.

“The photos are all taken with a modified polaroid pro-pack to take extreme close-ups. Each print consists of multiple exposures taken of shapes and textures laid on top of each other to form a surreal landscape.

The concept stems from psychedelic LP art and musicians like Santana, Pink Floyd etc. but just as importantly people like Carl Sagan, Neil Degrasse Tyson and Buckminster Fuller. These dudes were the real deal. They brought deep scientific and utopian ideas to the general public. Their work is what inspired much of the art of the 60s and 70s and the images their work conjure-up, in my head, are what I wanted to depict in these polaroids.”

A more detailed look at the collection follows here.
