French brand Sixpack presents their new Spring/Summer 2011 “Dust to Dust” Collection Lookbook. The brand is best known for their high profile artist collaborations on t-shirts. But a lot has changed – next to a strong collection of t-shirts, the brand has developed their cut and sew part and now offers everything from jackets, pants, jersey to accessories in the collection. The lookbook was art directed by DIY.

Sixpack France has worked with Swiss graphic design agency DIY (aka Plus41) on a small capsule collection for Fall/Winter 2010.

“This line is mainly inspired by George Bataille’s book « La littérature et le Mal» (Literature and Evil). A series of 5 pieces with a smart and subversive graphic language. The line also features two sleeved pieces : a varsity jacket coming with a black wool body and matching black leather sleeves, featuring a patch logo pentacle/peace symbol (duality) and a nice black cotton sweat crew wearing the same symbol.”

The capsule collection is now available from the Sixpack online store.

Sixpack and fellow French brand Homecore have collaborated for Fall/Winter 2010 on “The Orgone Project” Collection. The capsule line consists of two jackets, some shirts and several t-shirts. All in all a very clean looking line. It is now available from the Sixpack online store.

We present to you the new Sixpack France “Peyote Poem” Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. While the French brand continues to closely work with a strong artist network on graphic t-shirts, their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection screams for a new direction. The look is sleeker, more clean and also more grown-up. The graphics are more subtle and less colorful. The cut-and-sew part of the collection has grown a lot and offers a wide selection of new interpretations of oterhwise classic pieces.

The collaboration from Sixpack France and DC carries over to Spring 2010. After previously working with Akroe, Sixpack this time chose to work with designer PMKFA on the collection, which consists of sneakers, t-shirts and a New Era Cap. In terms of sneakers the French label went for the Admiral 6Pak and the Sector 6Pak. In line with the rest of the capsule collection, both the footwear and the New Era cap come in light grey with subtle details. You can expect a release Spring 2010.

Sixpack France has been involved in the music scene from the very beginning. Therefore starting a mix series was only a natural direction for the brand to take. They worked with Renaissance Man on an exclusive 50 minute mix and together with Kokoro et Moi they created a t-shirt celebrating the collaborative music project. Kokoro et Moi is a Finish design studio and their t-shirt is limited to 100 pieces. The mix can be downloaded for free here.

Just yesterday we presented you the Kaws Original Fake x Hajime Sorayama No Future Companion toy that will be released this coming weekend. Sixpack France also worked with the Japanese artist on a small capsule collection of t-shirts. Overall they present three collaborative t-shirts, picturing the iconic robot women by the artist. Furthermore they present a nice screen print. The tees are now available at colette.

DC Shoes and Sixpack France got together to collaborate on a small capsule collection. The line consists of a Xander high top sneaker and two jackets. Entitled “Non Merci”, the collection was designed by AKROE from the Sixpack artist network for this special collaboration. They offer a hooded leather jackets, as well as a reversible satin baseball jacket as part of the pack, which will release under the DC Shoes Life division.

For Fall/Winter 2009 French label Sixpack has worked with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. The artist worked on a capsule collection for Sixpack, something that we are definitely looking forward to. Sorayama is best known for his robot women, which are also featured in the collection. The line consists of three t-shirts and a limited edition poster. Colette will be giving an exclusive preview of the collection on June 28th.

Last week in Las Vegas DC Shoes gave us a little preview of another exciting Double Label Project that will be releasing later this year. They got together with Sixpack from France. The brand is known for their strong graphics and especially their tight knit artist network.

Together with DC, Sixpack worked on a high top sneaker and a matching reversible jacket. The shoes come with a grit all-over design and an exciting design on the sole, which is replicated on the lining of the reversible jacket.

Sixpack France is one of those labels that continues to impress us. Slowly they have become a real force in the market, presenting some of the strongest t-shirt designs, mainly through smart collaborations with the creme of the creme of the art scene. This season the brand starts to go more heavily into cut-and-sew, presenting first shirts and jackets next to their t-shirts.

The current season features designs by Cody Hudson, Grotesk, La.Boca, iLL-Studio, Hellomonsters and Akroe, as well as Parra, whose t-shirt and reversible jacket you can see on the image here above. Also the lookbook features DJ A-Trak, Qoso and Brodinsky.

French brand Sixpack has released the first part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. This season they worked with Ill-Studio, which might ring a bell, since they were also responsible for the Art Of Music exhibition that we recently saw appearing in Los Angeles and at colette in Paris. Ill-Studio designed several t-shirts and a catalogue to go along with them. Furthermore Sixpack worked with La.boca on a couple of t-shirts and on two posters.

The Sixpack Spring/Summer 2009 Collection has been inspired by Radical Achitecture : Archigram and Superstudio. The quality of the prints is once again very impressive this season and underlines the strong graphics.
