Slam Jam, the Italian distributor of Carhartt, visvim, Neighborhood and other brands, the company behind the Italian Stussy stores, Carhartt stores and of course the Slam Jam stores bringing everything cool from Japan over to Europe, is celebrating their 20th anniversary. For the occasion they present a special Rolex Submariner Watch, limited to of course 20 pieces.

“The Slam Jam logo stands on top of the Submariner wording on the dial and the rotatable bezel has minute markers running all around it.

Grey for the dial, the outer bezel and for the unique nato strap, with a touch of red for both the 20th minute and the seconds hand, the timepieces comes in a special box that reminds a military one.

Built in salvaged wood, the Box contains the original Rolex case, the steel bracelet, dial and bezel. It can only be opened by who has previously been given a special Torx Key.”

In an interesting move Slam Jam, known for their various retail stores (SlamJam, Stussy Italy, Carhartt) and distribution business in Italy, has released a new book, entitled “HQ37A”, showcasing the companies headquarters in Ferrara, Italy.

“HQ37A is the book edited and published by Slam Jam about the new Head Quarter of the company in Ferrara, designed by the worldwide famous Swiss studio Diner&Diner with the support of Arch. Antonio Ravalli for the external area.

The volume starts with a landscape panoramic view shot by Joel Tettamanti.
A perfect surround for the intro written by Pierre Alain that tell us about his first visit to the building.

After a first part dedicated to the HQ technical details, the book is divided into four chapters performed by four great photographers: three illustrious names from the architecture scene such as Christian Richters, Mario Carrieri, Pietro Savorelli plus the Slam Jam official photographer Marco Marzocchi.
A photos roundup that immortalizes the HQ focusing on every particular by a different point of view.

HQ37A truly represents the soul of this concrete fortress that treasures on its inside 20 years of Slam Jam founder Luca Benini’s vocation for clothing, music and arts.”

The way this building reflects and fits into the overall work of Slam Jam is what impressed us most.

Italian brand VNGRD and Slam Jam joined forces for a Christmas Pack. The pack consists of a custom t-shirt and a sack to wrap it up nicely. Limited to only 50 pieces, the pack is now available at Slam Jam stores and will soon also be available online.

For the first time Italian store Slam Jam has worked with Nike on a Tier 0 sneaker collaboration. The store worked on the Air Force 1 and called it the "Optical Force". It will be released in Milan on the 20th of September. There are noimages available so far, but those will be coming in the following days. For now we can already tell you that there will be a pack of three Air Force 1’s coming. We will keep you posted.

Stussy and SlamJam teamed up with the makers of the house music documentary “Unusual Suspects”, which was first released in 2005. The outcome is a pack of a special t-shirt, which comes together with the Italian version of the movie. Unfortunately the set is not for sale!

SlamJam Milan presented last year The Changes “Italiens” exhibition and has now released about a year later a book to the exhibition.
“The Changes are made up of creative minds of today, with brains in the future, and eyes from the past. The brains actually belong to Sk*thng AKA KING ELVIS, Tokyo Sex Pistol and Icecream graphic designer, FERGADELIC AKA Aries Overlord, the graphic equaliser and the brains and pen of Tonite, and Misha and Shauna, AKA Dennis ROussos, and Veronique Cliche, of PAM, famous for travelling around and making the things they make.
This is their first tour of Italia, and are ready for some cosmiK ARt Action in Milano’s best, SlamJAm. The show is an introduction into the world of their own. SciFi and Punk music. To the Tune of Disco and Metal. Think Stockhausen, The Creatures, Johnny Cash and listen to the CHangesMix, and breathe the fluroscent UFO’s. Late last year the stages a CHANGES exhibiton in Tokyo’s ZAMIANG, the basement gallery of Undercover. Stay tuned for more excitement in the near future!!! And beyonde…….”

First products of the Nike Spring/Summer 2008 Tech Pack have been released these past days. SlamJam now got in the Better Windrunner. The windrunner comes in 100% lightweight nylon in two colorways – black/white and blue/white. Certainly an interesting piece and more exciting than the first round windrunners.

Stussy Milan is celebrating their 5th anniversary and of course they have a series of t-shirts waiting for the occasion. They got together with SlamJam, Truffa, Vanguard and Bomba on a series of collaboration t-shirts, each one having a distinct Italian and even Milanese edge to it.

The Neighborhood Black & White Collection has landed at Slam Jam in Italy. The collection consists of overall 8 t-shirts – 4 black t-shirts and 4 white t-shirts. All t-shirts feature designs on the front and back and come in the usual Neighborhood style – not a lot of color in the designs and premium quality.

A good range of Fall/Winter 2007 t-shirts of the Undercover 7A series have now landed at Slam Jam. The range of designs is impressive, quality of course up there and considering that the price is about the same as an Original Fake t-shirt, it’s really not too bad.

Maestro is amovie that was four years in the making and is about people escaping regular life and finding their home in dance music. To celebrate the completion of this outstanding production they got together with Stussy Italy to produce a nice package combining the DVD and a collaboration t-shirt in a box set. The box set will not go on sale unfortunately. The middleman in this collaborative effort is of course SlamJam.
