California footwear label Vans announces a forthcoming collaborative project with children’s television show Yo Gabba Gabba! “Available at better shoe stores worldwide and in the U.S. on shop.vans.com, the Classic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi Deconstruct shoes include eight different versions, with each character represented on their own shoe as well as two versions of a Yo Gabba Gabba! group shoe.” Look for these in November.

The classic checkerboard Vans Slip On gets a make over for summer. The sneaker come in four monochrome colorways – black, red, yellow and blue – each with tone on tone checkerboard uppers. Interestingly, the checkerboard extends down onto the toe via embossed rubber. Now in store at ABC.

Vans Japan has released the Mexican Blanket pack as part of their Holiday 2009 Collection. The pack consists of a Sk8 Hi and a Slip-On. Both feature extensive pattern details, inspired by the iconic mexican blanket. The Sk8 Hi also features purple suede on the upper. Both sneakers are now available at ABC-Mart.

The much anticipated collaboration of Vans and artist Robert Crumb has been released today. Together they worked on the Sk8 Hi and the Slip-On. The “Mr. Natural” Sk8 Hi comes in white canvas with artwork featured on both the upper and the sole. The “Fritz the Cat” Slip-On comes with extensive art featured all-over the upper. Both sneakers are now available at colette.

Vans presents a series of tonal Slip-On’s for Summer 2009, all featuring a quilted pattern on the toe box. The sneaker keeps its clean looks, yet is a little different from the norm. In time for the summer Nike presents their Classic Slip-On in four new colorways. The slip-on comes in two striped versions and in two solid color black and white colorways. All four come with canvas uppers, with the solid ones also featuring some leather accents. The Nike Classic Slip-On is now available at UCS.

The Vans Off The Wall Pack is a throwback to the Vans original skate line as introduced in 1977. The Era was introduced in 1976 and the first sneaker from Vans specifically made for skateboarding. More than 30 years later Vans re-introduces these now classics in original colorways. The pack overall consists of 12 shoes, here we give you a look at the Era and the Slip-On. We love the pack and it reminds us a little of the Classic Kicks collaboration from a couple of years ago.

The Wingtip style seems to be a favorite of Vans Vault next season. We will be seeing on the Era, as well as other styles, including this new Slip-On Wingtip LX. At first look the sneakers seem to feature a pinstripe design and only when you get closer you realize that it is actually a barb wire design. The pack includes the Sk8 Hi, Authentic and the Slip-On. Overall a very simple and classic pack, yet nothing you see all over the place either.

For Fall 2009, Vans and KISS get together for the third time in recent years. Entitled “Rock N Roll Over” Pack, the sneakers and apparel feature artwork from the 1976 album of the band, carrying the same name. The pack consists of the Sk8 Hi and the Slip-On. Along with the sneakers there will be some t-shirts, as well as denim.

The Vans x KISS Fall 2009 “Rock N Roll Over” Pack will be released in June.
