Inspired by European soccer culture, Japanese brand Swagger presents several new items from their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. They have released a beanie, scarves and soccer balls, each coming in a series of colorways.

With the end of the World Cup, the St. Alfred x Nike Sportswear Six Points space is gearing up to close down shop. The final project is a series of artist-designed soccer balls created by Cody Hudson, Mr. Cartoon, and Dzine that are the focus of a silent auction. Proceeds will be donated to the Urban Initiatives program, a local Chicago-based effort for helping youth succeed in society through the help of soccer. The auction is now underway and will finalize on July 17th at Six Points. Phone bids are accepted.

R29 explores Loomstate’s World Cup proddy. “Playing dress-up with World Cup fashion is all well and good, but what if you want to actually go out and kick a ball around? After already seeing XLARGE’s contribution to the SFIDA soccer project, we’re now met with look into SILAS’ goods. Just like XLARGE, they worked on a soccer ball and a soccer jersey. The ball is a simple all-black number with a white SILA logo. The jersey features a greyscale gradient overlaid with a Union Jack/Iron Cross hybrid. Scheduled to release November 24th at Zozo.

XLarge presents a new soccer inspired set of goods. They worked on a soccer ball and a matching soccer jersey. Both pieces feature a black/grey/white camouflage pattern. The t-shirt carries the classic XLarge logo on the front and the founding year on the back. The products come as part of a collaborative project with sports goods company SFIDA. Look out for a release beginning of 2010.

The winter was long enough now and we cannot wait for the warmer days that lie ahead. With that in mind and your upcoming summer vacation, you might want to consider going to the beach in style. As part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection, Y-3 offers a large beach towel and a matching soccer ball. Might be nothing for real soccer fans at first, but then again, adidas is known for making the best soccer balls.

Upper Playground announced the release of three new New Era pro fitted caps. The hats feature a new all-over, ornate burgundy on beige leaf design by Jeremy Fish (San Francisco), “Wallmask” by Sam Flores (San Francisco), and a new signature logo hat. Each hat is being released in a small specialty run batches.
They will also be releasing for the first time soccer balls. The first run has been designed by Herbert Baglione (Sao Paolo) and Sam Flores (SanFrancisco). In broadening Upper Playground’s collection of home and lifestyle items, the brand collaborated with the artists to individually design a soccer ball with their own iconic style. The soccer balls will retail for $80 each.
