Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Workout, Reebok Classics has collaborated with fifteen top retail partners from around the globe. One of a handful of sneakers that defies its age, the Reebok Workout is a true classic. Originally designed as a multi-discipline shoe, the sneaker provided a cross-gender solution to lateral support as well as a point-of-difference, making a simple shoe an icon. The evolved dual strap concept lending both functionality and an arresting aesthetic.

In 1987 — 25 years ago — the Workout had a slight makeover. Adding extra paneling on the forefoot, the sneaker became more durable for street wear and the Reebok Workout Plus was born.

Today we reveal the first collaboration of the project. Berlin based sneaker retailer Solebox as usual wanted to take a new approach for this collaboration and decided to go with fish leather on the entire upper, the result being an exclusive and premium feel. Also this is the first time ever that fish leather has been used on the iconic sneaker. Along with the rest of the collaborations, the Solebox x Reebok Workout will drop on February 15th, 2012.

Berlin’s Solebox crew is at it again. Later this month they will be launching the Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000 ‘Three Brothers’ Pack. As many of you already know, the sneaker retailer is indeed headed by three brothers and therefore they produced a pack of three colorways of the iconic Saucony Shadow 5000 running shoe.

Each colorway of the shoes will come limited to 95 pairs and will release at Solebox on September 24th, 2011.

Berlin’s Solebox and Lacoste are working together on a new version of the 10789 boot, this time with a Vibram sole. The shoe is featured in black and blue with mixed suede, leather and nylon uppers, and that beloved Vibram wedge.

This past weekend Solemart came once again to Paris. Produced by Solebox and LaMJC, the two brought together collectors and buyers and it looks like it turned out great. From what we see and hear, the location was really good, they had lots of traffic and an amazing offering of rare kicks from the last couple of decades.

For 2011 Solebox produced another ‘Then & Now’ Pack with adidas. The adidas Equipment Support is the ‘Then’ part and features a colorway inspired by the 1992 version, yet features a Climacool upper. Sadly though, the sneaker was produced in extremely limited numbers and is only available to Solebox employees. The ‘Now’ part of the pack is still to come.

Berlin retailer Solebox and Saucony present a trio of Shadow 5000 sneakers dubbed the “Three Brothers.” Each shoe features a combination of black, blue and grey, in varying forms. Overall another solid release from Solebox, that looks outside the typical sneaker collab labels. More info on the quantity and release date will be revealed shortly.

With the release set for the first week of March 2011, we take another look at the collaboration between Berlin sneaker boutique Solebox and Reebok on the Omnizone Pump. The sneaker comes in a black/grey colorway with red color accents and most importantly, they once again built in light technology, something that first appeared in the collaboration by Solebox and Reebok for the 25th anniversary of the Pump. The sneaker is limited to only 100 pairs and will therefore go fast, as you can imagine.

Solebox once again worked with Reebok and this time presents their version of the Omnizone Pump. The Berlin based boutique made use of their light idea again and infused some electronic lights into the side-panels this time. You can turn on and off the light, so do not worry, there is no blinking. Look out for a release February/March 2011.
