As part of its Fall/Winter 2011 Collection, Sophnet has collaborated with visvim on a special version of the Homer Tote Bag and a matching zip wallet. Both come in a nice navy/black/white knit pattern, perfect for the current season. The two products will launch this weekend exclusively at Sophnet stores and Isetan department store.

SOPHNET. has updated their blog to showcase some of this month’s releases and one of the highlights of that product update is this Stadium Blouson. The light brown torso is complimented beautifully with the cream colored sleeves and matching design details found throughout the cuffs and waist. A quilted brown lining completes the blouson making for an all around solid piece.

After the Tennis Classic, uniform experiment and Nike get together again this season for the 12th anniversary of SOPHNET and present a track suit. Check out the teaser video here below.

Sophnet celebrates its 12th anniversary and to commemorate the occasion their sub-label, uniform experiment, has teamed up with KRINK on a series of products. The capsule collection includes 12 hand-painted tote bags, as well as two t-shirts. The bags all feature KR’s dripping style on the inside and outside, and they are signed and numbered.

For the opening of their corner inside the upcoming Hankyu Men’s Tokyo department store, Sophnet has worked on some special collaborative product.

They worked with Benrus and uniform experiment on a military watch, which comes in a navy colorway with nylon strap. Furthermore they present a special collaboration with Sophnet and Tricker’s, where they added oestrich leather to the upper of the classic wing tip boot.

Both items will release at Hankyu Men’s Tokyo on October 15th, 2011.

The first episode of the second season of HBO show How To Make It In America debuted last night. Ben (Bryan Greenberg) and Cam (Victor Rasuk) start off in Tokyo this time and aside from several Ambush jewelry appearances, they also visit the Sophnet Harajuku store in Tokyo, right before returning to New York and continue building their brand – Crisp. It is interesting watching the show and seeing it touch our market, which up until now did not get very much mainstream shine, at least not in the western world. Let’s see what impact these kind of appearances will have going forward. We already seem to find lots of inspiration behind the show coming from our market – independent t-shirt/clothing labels, young photographers and artists, young musicians. What is your take on the subject?

SOPHNET has once again worked with Disney and DC Comics as part of their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. After already having released t-shirts earlier in the season, they now present knitwear. The crewneck sweaters feature Superman and Batman logos, as well as Mickey Mouse. The sweaters will be available from Sophnet retailers starting October 1st, 2011.

A favorite of ours this season in terms of tote bags, is the above version by SOPHNET. The Japanese brand presents the 2 Tone Tote Bag for Fall/Winter 2011 in two camouflage versions and two solid versions. The bottom is dipped in color, resulting in an interesting look and is a nice contrast to the upper of the bag. The desert camo/orange is our personal favorite.

SOPHNET will be releasing their next footwear collaboration this weekend. For Fall/Winter 2011 they got together with Tricker’s to collaborative on the classic wing tip boot. The calf leather boots come as part of this team-up in three clean colorways – brown, black and navy. Look out for the boots at SOPH retailers from this coming Saturday, September 24th, 2011.

As part of the SOPHNET and nonnative SOPH.NATIVE collection, the two prominent Japanese labels enlisted American hat manufacturer Ebbets Field Flannels for a series of ball caps. Featuring cotton twill and cotton duck uppers in an assortment of colorways, the hats will be available September 17, 2011, exclusively though Vendor Nagoya and SOPH Tokyo.
