We take an early look at the Sperry Topsider Spring/Summer 2010 “Bahama” Collection. The brand remixes their classic boat shoe in new colors, also added a series of two-tone styles to the collection. As usual, very solid and nothing you can go wrong with.

Finally we get a complete look at the new Band of Outsiders for Sperry Topsider Fall/Winter 2009 Footwear. Next to mid boat shoes, Chukkas, regular boat shoes and loafers, the most interesting new releases in the collection are probably the Rubber Boat Shoes. These come with a painted Trompe L’oeil, basically faking the look of a regular boat with graphics on an otherwise seamless upper. They present several colorways of this special release. The Chukka comes in both suede and premium leathers with nice striped canvas linings. Also really nice are the flannel boat shoes in the line-up, perfectly bringing the style into the colder months of the year.

The collaboration between Sperry Topsider and Band of Outsider continues for Fall/Winter 2009. This season the two brands worked on new variations of the classic boat shoe, as well as on a line-up of loafers and ankle boots. Materials used include suede, leather and felt wool. The footwear is now available at Surrender.

Two excellent new boat sneakers from the Sperry Topsider Fall 2009 Collection have been released. The navy and grey low top sneakers feature wool uppers, giving them the proper Fall look. The sneakers are now available at Univ.

With boat shoes being all the rage these days, we take a detailed look at the upcoming Sperry Topsider Spring/Summer 2010 Collection at Bread & Butter Berlin. They will be introducing lots of very solid styles, with the mid top boots being among our favorite. The classic low boat shoe comes in some nice colorways and material options. Also they will be celebrating their 75th anniversary next year and for the occasion a bunch of special vintage looking footwear will be released.

Most of you should have seen by now the Band Of Outsiders New York Fashion Week event from a couple of weeks ago. Here we give you a look now at a video projection that the brand created for the summer shows in 2008, showcasing their Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

With the comeback of the boatshoe we of course see lots of collaborations in this field as well. In the end of the day, in our mind nobody has ever come close to what Band Of Outsiders is doing with Sperry Topsider. Keeping the classic looks, yet making it much more interesting than the regular line-up of the Sperry Topsider brand.

For Spring/Summer 2009 the two brands one again get together and present the classic boatshoe in a deconstructed version in two colorways and also worked on a tassel loafer, equally interesting.

Over the last couple of weeks we have shown you many new silhouettes from sneaker companies that try to get into the on-going trend of boat shoes and some of them definitely came out nice and are worth mentioning, but if you want the real deal then you have to go with Sperry Topsider. The brand has a long heritage in boat shoes and still today they produce quality footwear at fair prices.

The Bahama 2 Eye comes this season in a nice plaid colorway, mixed with beige canvas and white leather laces. It also comes in an all white colorway. Furthermore Sperry presents the Striper, a classic looking low top sneaker, which features a bit of a worn out look. Two great styles for the summer.

The on-going Band Of Outsiders x Sperry Topsider collaboration has been a favorite of ours for a while. For the Fall/Winter season they present a new ballistic nylon boot, inspired by the classic Sperry Topsider boat shoe.
