Last night Spike Lee presented US President Barack Obama with a pair of Jordan Spiz’ikes. The shoes, a pair of Spiz’ike ‘Boredeaux (out February 2012) came packaged in a custom brown wood box emblazoned with the presidential seal. Do you think we’ll see Barack wearing these?

Today Spike Lee published an image, previewing two interesting new colorways of the Jordan Spizikes. It looks like Michael Jordan has gifted Spike Lee with two pairs of NY Knicks colored Spiz’ikes, as a tribute to their strongest season in some time. As many of you will already know, the sneaker, originally released in 2006, was created by Jordan and Spike, mating the Jordan III, IV, V, VI and XX. The shoe also includes an image of Spike’s Mars Blackmon character on the heel, as well as the ‘40 Acres & A Mule’ logo, representing Spike’s film production company. These are likely “Player Exclusives,” but we’ll be sure to update you if a wider release is announced.

ABSOLUT gets together with Spike Lee to design their latest limited edition vodka bottle – ABSOLUT Brooklyn.

“The bottle features a depiction of a brownstone with the number from Lee’s childhood home in Cobble Hill and bears his name on the bottle. Inside the bottle is a vodka flavored with apple and ginger. It has a retail price of $29.99 . Each of the city editions of Absolut has a charitable initiative attached, as part of this campaign Absolut is donating $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help fund an affordable homes project in Bedford-Stuyvesant.”

Look out for these to arrive in stores soon.

Today we share a little teaser entitled “Practice is Everything”, an intimate moment with Spike Lee assist coaching his son’s soccer team, together sharing a passion for discipline and teamwork. The narrative follows the team practicing at the Sara D. Roosevelt Park field in Chinatown.

Following up on the Big Nike High from the Spike Lee Pack, Nike has released the matching Big Nike Low now. The sneaker comes in an off-white colorway, mixed with brown and red. The side-panels feature a soft pattern on the upper and the logo of the pack is placed on the tongue tag. The sneaker is now available from LTD.

The other day we showed you the Blazer from the Spike Lee Pack, today you get a look at the second sneaker from the collaboration – the Big Nike High. Later this year we will once again see a sneaker created in collaboration with Spike Lee. The Nike Blazer Mid comes with a perforated white leather upper, red Swoosh, green lining, black mid-sole and a Spike Lee tag on the tongue. Look out for a release in October 2009.

A while ago we presented you already the new G-Shock x Spike Lee collaboration. The look is rather classic with only some small details being changed. The watch also comes in custom packaging. Spike Lee’s signature is featured on the back of the watch, as well as on the box. It is now available exclusively at Dave’s Quality Meat in New York.

Recently we presented to you the latest collaboration by G-Shock with artist Eric Haze. Today another special project by the Japanese watch brand – a DW5600 in collaboration with Spike Lee.
They kept it subtle and clean in terms of design and only added some small details to the all-time classic. Certainly a piece that you do not want to miss in your collection.
The Spike Lee G-Shock will be coming out in September. We will keep you posted on the release.
