Staple once again worked on a new product based on their popular pigeon theme. Together with Case Mate they present the ‘Pigeon’ iPhone 4 and iPhone 4 S case. Staple really managed to perfectly translate their mascot onto the case, featuring the features, pink feet, eyes and everything else that needs to be there. Priced at 25 USD, the case is now available here.

Kidrobot has teamed up with Staple to create a vinyl version of their famous Pigeon character, complete with the poop splat. The 7-inch figure is limited to 800 worldwide and will be available November 3 at Kidrobot New York and November 4 at Kidrobot Los Angeles. jeffstaple will be on site for signings.

Staple linked with the team at adFunture Workshop no the BELLATOR COLUMBIDAE (“Fighting Pigeon” in Latin) vinyl figure. The toy stands at 10″h, 11″w and 13″ deep and features articulated head, wings, arms and feet, comes with his very own fitted Pigeon cap and a pigeon poop accessory. Limited to 100 pieces the toy will be sold at Reed Space and select retailers as of August 15, 2011.

Also this week the collaboration between New York brand Staple and Japanese retailer Kinetics has released. Next to a light grey 7 Eyelet Chukka Boot from Timberland, the two also present a matching canvas military cap. Both pieces feature special collaboration tags and remain otherwise very clean. We salute the choice of color and material on the boots, which came out beautiful. Both pieces are now available from Kinetics.

In an interesting collaboration Staple got together with Timberland to design an exclusive 7 Eye Chukka Boot for Japanese retailer Kinetics. The shoe features an interesting grey suede upper design. Furthermore the ankle padding matches the white outer-sole and with the lining they got a little more playful.

In an interesting new collaboration Staple has linked up with Epaulet to work on a special version of the Rivet Chino.

“Working with the classic slim-fitting Rivet Chino, we added a collection of tweaks to make it our own. The changes include rear button flap pockets, a mid-thigh rear utility pocket, a rear belt loop D-ring, and a reinforced cuff. The fabric is an incredibly soft, double-faced brushed cotton twill from Japan. The exterior has the warmth and hand of wool flannel, and the interior is heathered twill in a contrasting tone. Each piece is hand-crafted in Los Angeles and is machine washable.”

The chinos are now available online and at The Reed Space.

Today we can give you a detailed look at the third portion of Staple and Oakley’s “The History of Oakley” collection – the Frogskin and Holbrook. Since the Frogskin was the first Oakley design that was directed at a lifestyle, rather than a particular sport, Staple decided to design it with their lifestyle in mind—i.e., The Pigeon. The frame is adorned with two tones of grey with the Pigeon mascot laser etched on the lens, and a Pigeon splat on the arm.

Shaun White’s signature Holbrook model pays tribute to snowboarding with a white halftone gradient fade, “like you’re floating through the perfect powder stash!” Both pairs are available today at Reed Space.

After the tennis and golf ball inspired sunglasses from the The History of Oakley by Staple Design sunglasses, we present you the next two frames to come from this collaboration. They present the classic Razor Blade, first introduced in 1987. Staple gives it the ocean splash design, with each frame being handpainted in California. Furthermore they present the more modern Switchlock model, coming in white, with the typical multicolor stripe cycling design on the arms.

On Monday we presented to you the first two sunglasses from the much larger collaboration between Oakley and STPL, celebrating the brand’s 35th anniversary. The Reed Space hosted an event last night, showcasing the history of the eyewear brand, as well as some more styles from the collaboration, which will see more releases in August and September. If there is one thing that becomes apparent, when looking at the archive of the brand, it is their continuous effort for innovation since day one.

The collaboration between Staple Design and Airwalk continues for Spring 2010. The line has been expanded and now also includes womens and kids styles, as well as new silhouettes. We like some of the slimmer high top styles, as well as the boat shoe, The Gallivant, in the collection. Just like before, no style goes for above 50 USD in store at Payless. Most of the new shoes are now available here.

Staple presents their new Spring 2010 T-Shirt Collection. Aside from the iconic pigeon graphich which returns this season in several colorways, the aesthetic of the t-shirts is very minimalist.
