Finally we get a full look at the latest issue from Arkitip Magazine. This time they worked with long time collaborator and artist Steven Harrington.
In addition to providing a comprehensive survey of previous and new work, complete with previously unpublished process photographs, Issue No. 0052 debuts a new body of work created by Steven and frequent collaborator Justin Krietemeyer entitled The Desert: 128 Miles northeast of Los Angeles. A look at the production of the work here below.
A feather bookmark is tucked into each copy of this Issue Edition, and it is wrapped in a 100% Jamaican Cotton Scarf. This scarf is kindly supported by Sixpack France. Steven has also signed a few copies of Arkitip No. 0052, and those copies are also available, but only while supplies last. To commemorate the release of this issue edition, Steven has created a very limited run (closed edition of 20 + 2 APs) of hand-painted silk screen prints.
After the jump a look at the issue edition and also at the limited edition screenprint.
After a stellar contribution to Incase’s Curated By Arkitip project, Steven Harrington’s artwork serves as the basis of the next issue of Arkitip. Last January, after much preparation, Arkitip spent a few days in the desert with Steven, Justin Krietemeyer, and photographer Brigette Sire. The new body of work entitled The Desert: 128 Miles east of Los Angeles. September 1st, 2009 will mark the official release of Arkitip No. 0052, however; the issue is now available for pre-order at the discounted price of $35.00.
Arkitip’s Elist subscribers who pre-order will receive a 4 x 6 In. matte photo print from The Desert: 128 Miles east of Los Angeles, created specifically for issue 0052 of Arkitip, signed by Steven Harrington & Justin Krietemeyer on the reverse. Not a bad deal at all.
The much anticipated latest part of the Curated By Arkitip project has been released today. This time they worked with artist Steven Harrington, who designed a laptop sleeve and an iPhone 3G case for Incase.
“Influenced by Time-Life Encyclopedias 1965-1972, thrift stores and the 60s pysch sounds of The Moody Blues, his art might be termed ‘contextual objectivism’. That is, each piece is created as a tangible object symbiotically defined of a larger context.”
The Akitip x Incase x Steven Harrington laptop sleeve and iPhone 3G hardcase are now available here.
After a small teaser the other day, we can show you today some final product from the Incase x Steven Harrington series, which is part of the Curated By Arkitip collection. The artist designed a laptop sleeve and a matching iPhone 3G case. The set will be coming out on February 3rd. Via Complex.
Just the other day we showed you the Element x Steven Harrington skateboard decks. Here comes now a first hint at the next chapter of the Curated By Arkitip series, an ongoing collaboration with Incase. It seems like Steven Harrington created some laptop sleeves in corduroy. But more on that soon, when we can show you the final product.
Steven Harrington’s “Our Mountain” exhibition has been traveling Europe all of last year. For the exhibition Element had produced a couple of special Cruiser skateboard decks. Overall the set consists of 6 decks and should be available soon.

Our favorite t-shirt brand from France, Sixpack, has released some new t-shirts at Sold Out. As usual the tees are graphically very strong and also the line-up of artists that they worked with on these is impressive. This latest drop features works by UpNorth, Huskmitnavn, Bastards Graphics, Christopher D., Steven Harrington and Grotesk.
