Italian label Stone Island is offering a limited edition “Forza Japan” t-shirt, aimed at raising money for the Japanese Red Cross. The green and red ribbon represents Italy’s support and well-wishing for Japan in their time of need. Available now.

Stone Island produced their Drybag Collection in collaboration with Ortlieb, a specialist in outdoor luggage. To present the new Spring/Summer 2011 bags, they gave them to videomakers Lele Saveri and Giulia Maria Venturini. See the bags travel through Milan. Enjoy!

We take an early look at a forthcoming Stone Island Mountain Boot, as produced by of-the-moment boot label Diemme. Featured in a striking mustard colored suede, the boots forego the standard Diemme embossed label, for the similarly shaped Stone Island cross. Black accents, including a black Vibram sole finish the look. Out for Fall 2011.

Stone Island keeps it interesting and presents the “Ghost Piece” jacket from their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

“The camouflage concept carried to its extremes. This is what the Ghost Pieces presented today stand for. As if they had been dipped into a tin of paint, everything in these jackets — including the badge with the Compass Rose in a special mono-colour version — is uniformed to one of the two absolute colours: either all white or all black. We will get back on this topic.”

“With this video, Stone Island presents the Heat Reactive Jacket. A hooded bomber jacket in cotton nylon canvas with thermosensitive liquid crystals, the garment changes colour according to the temperature: the warmer, the fairest, the cooler, the darker.”

Stone Island presents their latest video, previewing the Reflective Jacket for Spring/Summer 2011. The jacket has been in their collection since the 90s and since has become a Stone Island classic. The Reflective fabric is highly refractive, thanks to a coating procedure made with thousands of glass micro-spheres.

Yesterday we presented the Stone Island Shadow Lookbook for the new season, here is now a look at the Italian brand’s main collection. Aside from design, the color and fabric innovations by the brand still set them apart from everybody else in the market. The new Spring/Summer 2011 Collection offers outerwear that reacts to light, temperature and changes look as these parameters change. Overall the collection is very colorful, sporting orange, yellow, strong green and red pieces.

After having previewed the bags of the collection yesterday, we can give you a complete look at the Stone Island Shadow Project Spring/Summer 2011 Collection today. The biggest change to previous seasons is color – next to the usual black, grey and green tones, the brand introduces some stronger colors, including green and light blue. You can of course expect the usual technical details and fabrics that you got used to see from the Shadow Project division.

Of the many small Berlin Fashion Week events, one of the highlights was Berlin retailer Firmament’s Stone Island Spring/Summer 2011 presentation. On display was the brand new Stone Island Liquid Reflective Jacket in brilliant new yellow and blue variations. Many of the guests walked away with exclusive Firmament x Stone Island beanies, which were complimentary while they lasted – as were the drinks. Overall a well-executed event.
