It’s already been 15 years since the seminal Southern California-based label Stones Throw has been around and to celebrate the occasion, they put on a big shindig at The Exchange in Downtown Los Angeles this past Thursday. Two rooms featuring sets and performances from the Beat Junkies, Mayer Hawthorne, Dam Funk, Arabian Prince and the man himself Peanut Butter Wolf, as well as numerous others took to the stage to help do it right. Happy Anniversary, Stones Throw, and may you celebrate many more.

MF Doom’s Metalface Records will be releasing this collectible Dime Box just in time for the holidays. This unique custom made box contains a 7-inch picture disk of “Rhymes Like Dimes” and a 16×16 inch 150-piece puzzle. The puzzle features art work by Jason Jagel and Jeff Jank, who did the art work for Operation Doomsday and MM Food. This is a must have for the MF Doom fan in your life. Stussy celebrates the 15th anniversary of record label Stone Throw with a special collection. The line includes a sweat varsity jacket, a t-shirt and an oxford shirt, which comes along with a special box set CD’s, stickers, posters and postcards. The collection will go on sale on October 28th, 2011.

We follow up with another Stone Throw artist. MED released the video to “Classic” featuring Talib Kweli. Directed by The Qualities of Light (Shane Sakanoi & Rich Hama) and produced by Karriem Riggins. Enjoy!

This Spring, MF DOOM’s own label, Metalface Records, will be releasing the first complete and remastered version of their debut album – Operation: Doomsday. The set will contain the original album, alternate versions, b-sides and instrumentals – 51 tracks total – with all new artwork and two deluxe, metal formats: LUNCH BOX 2/CD and METAL 4/LP BOX each containing a 32-page lyric book, and set of 10 cards with images of the Operation Doomsday MCs.

Stones Throw will have advance copies of both Lunchbox sets that will go on pre-sale soon. We will keep you posted.

Lacoste presents their new Legends Collection, inviting 12 collaborators to work on some footwear with the brand, celebrating the founder of the brand, Rene Lacoste. Collaborators include Tim Hamilton, colette, Stones Throw, Sneaker Freaker, Shoes Master, Jazzie B, iD, Bodega, DMOP, Christophe Lemaire and Sebastien Tellier. The entire range is now already up for pre-order from Flauge.

Stussy gets together with Stones Throw on a small capsule collection for Fall 2010. The line is comprised of shirts, ties and silk scarves, each coming in two colorways and releasing this week at Stussy Chapter stores.
