The Kaws exhibition in Los Angeles at Honor Fraser will be opening tonight. To celebrate the occasion, last night Royal/T hosted an exhibition and pop-up store with the artist. The exhibition was curated by Kaws and showed works by himself and other artists. Also they hosted an Original Fake pop-up store, which was selling some nice product that recently came out, as well as a t-shirt especially created for the evening.

adidas opened its first adidas SLVR store during New York Fashion Week. A cocktail reception to celebrate the opening was attended by over 800 guests.

Located in Soho, the 250 square meter space reflects the values of the adidas SLVR brand, including simplicity, transparency and functionality. Designed with a clean, modern and considered aesthetic, the store presents a unifying backdrop for the collection. The unit is characterized by unique natural elements such as locally sourced wood and felt contrasted by polished materials such as glass and steel. White is the main colour used throughout the space with accents of silver metal giving it a sense of light and fluidity.

Signature elements within all the SLVR stores consist of wooden panelled flooring leading to a highlighted wall, plus specially commissioned wooden chairs displaying the seasonal patterns and colours from the collections.

Following the opening of the first stand-alone store in New York, additional SLVR stores will open in Paris, Miami, Bangkok, and Los Angeles.

Until March 19th, WTAPS will be selling in their Tokyo flagship store, Blackflag, the GIP collection, a line of items that will be exclusive to the store. Along with t-shirts and hoodies from the GIP line, they also present the latest issue of Philosophy zine and will be holding some events and work shops in the store. Via Honeyee.

Alexander McQueen collaborates with Target on a collection. That most of you should know by now. During New York Fashion Week they launched a Target McQ Market pop-up store, selling the line early, as it is only getting into Target stores on March 1rst.

This is good news for everybody not living in NYC or Los Angeles. Opening Ceremony has not only released a new website, but they also finally have an online store, offering both their in-house collection and many other exciting brands that they carry in store.

Every year new rumors appear about a possible Supreme London store and so far that has never happened. Today we can confirm that Supreme is coming to London – not in the form of a flagship store, but as a shop-in-shop at Dover Street Market London. With Bape, Nowhere and many other great brands, Supreme will be in good company.

Supreme will be coming to Dover Street Market London in March 2009 with their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection.

For those of you that have not visited the Bape Los Angeles store yet, we can give you here now some detailed looks. As usual, the store was created by Wonderwall from Tokyo, who have previously also been in charge of the renovations of colette and other Bape stores around the globe. The space is once again impressive, using a lot of metals, glass and special lighting to underline the product.

We have to admit that we were a little surprised to see this announcement today. Bape went from not having a website to a website, to an up to date website and will now also start doing online sales. Is this part of the growth the brand is going through or is even Bape in these tough economic times struggling to keep their 95% sell through? Either way, the announcement will make many out there happy that could never get their hands on Bape goods and others very sad, because attaining the goods is made so much easier now.

There is no set date yet for the launch, but we will keep you posted. Also we do not know if this will be an international online store, or Japan only.

The new Fred Perry Laurel Aoyama store recently opened its doors. The interior has been kept very dark, a theme that already starts on the outside. Smart lighting highlights the product in the store. For the launch the store is offering a special polo shirt customization service, where one can choose all colors on a polo and place ones initials under the Fred Perry chest logo. Via Openers.
