Shawn Stussy has opened the doors to a new S/Double Surfboard spot in Montecito, California. The shop has a minimal aesthetic, as the place acts a showroom with photos and surfboards on display. It’s open now, so if you’re in the area, go check it out as it’s situated in the town’s lower village in the back of Richie’s barbershop. In the mean time, head over to the S/Double website to know what’s good.

Stussy gets together with Australian brand Vanishing Elephant on a capsule collection. Since the brand is from Sydney it is actually a Summer 2011 Collection, due to the reversed seasonal calendar. Releasing on December 8th, 2011, the capsule line consists of shirts, pants, shorts, backpacks and of course also a pair of shoes. We have to admit, it is a rather unexpected collaboration, but proofs just again that Stussy can really go into all directions. We enjoy the graphic tees, printed shirts and shirts of the collection.

Stussy Japan continues to create neat specialty items outside of apparel with this novelty wine glass set and a little something that can be seen as sort of a throwback to the days before blogging in the form of a diary. The diary presents a cool way to see if your penmanship is still existent and the wine glasses can steeze up your cupboards, so it’s a win/win situation.

After their recent team-up with G-Shock, Stussy presents the next watch collaboration. Once again they get together with Luminox and will be releasing a collaborative Field Military Watch before Christmas. The watch shows the time, date and day. It comes with a stainless steel case and crown and comes with a leather strap and a NATO strap, which is our preferred one of the two.

As we reported earlier, Sneakermuseum presented a retrospective of Stussy collabs at their space in Cologne, Germany. We reviewed 10 years of Stussy x Nike collabs, but in the video you can see a greater range of their output including adidas and others. Enjoy.

For Holiday 2011, Vancouver designer Raif Adelberg has taken deadstock hand knit cowichan sweaters and deconstructed them into one of a kind designs. Each sweater has been hand rebuilt by Raif and produced in extremely limited quantities for Stussy. Exclusively available at Stussy Canada, the sweaters will be available at Stussy Vancouver and Stussy Toronto on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011.

In time for Christmas, Stussy has linked up with artist Todd James aka REAS on a limited edition t-shirt. The t-shirt read ‘Happy Holidays from the Stussy Crew’ and features a collage style graphic, created by the artist. A release is scheduled for December 3rd, 2011, at Stussy stores.

With today’s current retail landscape and how it is affected by the economic climate, an anniversary is a great reason to celebrate. Stussy Seattle is doing just that by celebrating 2 years with a party and Stussy Pike Tribe tee shirt collection release. DJ Mick Boogie from NYC and Sean Cee representing Seatown will be throwing down on the turntables at the HG Lodge on Saturday, November 26 starting at 10pm.

Stussy Japan has taken it upon themselves to piece together some looks featuring some selections from their Fall/Holiday 2011 range. With a theme of Mainline & Surplus, the lookbook of sorts showcases some of the nicer items such as the Stussy x Penfield duffle coat and outback vest. Some of the Stussy RMX items are also mixed in for good measure.

From December 3rd until December 12th, Medicom will be hosting their second Bearbrick World Wide Tour. Hosted at Shibuya Parco in Tokyo, the toy maker has worked with numerous designers and brand to showcase special designs of their iconic Bearbrick toy.

Large 1000% and 400% Bearbricks entirely made out of wood, in collaboration with fragment design, Stussy, A Bathing Ape, Mickey Mouse, TokiDoki and others will be on display at the show. The Hiroshi Fujiwara designed fragment version is certainly among the most interesting, next to the 1000% all wooden version, which can only cost a small fortune. The 200% metal Baby Milo toy together with A Bathing Ape is also nice.
